Castle Armory Explosives

I posted yesterday about not being able to get explosives for entering the armory. I received an answer, but I still do not find the schematics to make explosives. I thought i may have scrapped them by accident, but I even started the level over and still do not see them. There is an Icon at the workbench, but I do not see them in the inventory. Any other advice would be appreciated.

Explosives? What explosives? You don't get explosives as a quest reward for opening up the Armory, you get buildable artillery.

The artillery is in the special section of the workshop. Explosives require a perk to craft at a chemistry station.

OK still looking I have no special arty selection in my workshop. I should be high enough in all my attributes, plus 114 level. The workbench has the yellow icon on it, but there is no special section for explosives. I also looked in my chemical bench as someone suggested. What am I missimg? The Veteran female Minuteman just says, "I hope you have explosives".
Is there a special chem station level? I think mine is the highest.
Sorry to be a bother, but this one has me stumpped

It should be furthest left in build mode.

Look real closely at that workbench, there should be a sheet of paper or a rolled up blueprint on it.

Man I have looked all over for this Schematic" I looked very very close on the workbench and did not see anything.
I also looked at all my other stations and all over the Castle. I do not find anything to help.

This is my second new try at the castle, all else is good, but I cannot make, find, build any explosives. I started my first one over because I had the same problem.


Has this happenned to anyone else?

Do I have to be any special level in attributes?

This quest is not for explosives.
This quest is for the schematics for ARTILLERY. Cannons. When you have it they'll appear on the far left of the build menu under "SPECIAL".

Do you have console mode access?

There are no explosives it's artillery and the schematics are next to the artillery parts on the table at the back of the room.

Inside is an array of plunder, including an artillery schematic and some artillery smoke grenades (inside a yellow ammo box container on the metal shelf), which are needed for the next part of the quest. After taking the schematic, it will add an artillery piece to the workshop under a new Special category.

You don't build explosives. You build artillery. To get to the armory, the lady wants you to look for a way to get in and that would be by going near the dirt and junk and hitting E. If you didn't know how to get in there.

You do not need explosives to enter the Armory, you just need to enter workshop mode and scrap some rubble. The Wiki page has a walkthrough that should help:

Make sure you completed the quest Old Guns, in order to gain access to the closed off armory.

Did you pick up the artillery parts and smoke flares?
