The description of this magazine suggests that you will receive a permanent plus 1 to luck if you drink alcohol while with a companion. I'm with Piper and I've drunk wine, whisky, burbon, stout and beer. My luck is not permanently affected. I built a bar hoping to buy generic "alcohol" but it didn't work. Am I misreading this? Any ideas how to get that +1 luck?

It means that a bonus +1 Luck will be given everytime that the Sole Survivor drinks alcohol for as long as the alcohol stays in effect, not that the bonus sticks around indefinitely.

It's permanent in the sense it works anytime you drink not just once.

It is permanent - you will always get +2 luck from drinking with a companion instead of just +1.

I only put 2 points in luck. With survival mode I just had too many other priorites. I was hoping for a free-bee. I see what they mean by permanent. The trick will always work, so it's a permanent temporary boost. In case your character wants to play craps or something.

yes a permorary boost. To get a permanenter boost, wear Atom Cats jacket and Jeans, +2 luck, and a Crumpled Fedora, +1 luck.
