630 hours in and I'm just realising something.
Something major, something nonsensical and something potentially game breaking.

You can't plant Tarberries. :steamsad:

tar berries grow on the water way pool and surfaces and the home maker mod let's you plant them, unfortunately the home maker mod is not updated for contraptions and is unstable causing ctd's

See, the thing is I'm playing unmodded until the final build is released and F4SE catches up to it. But stilll, it's such a silly oversight especially given the applications of Tarberries.

You could just not update until f4se does and reap all the benefits. :happy_creep:

You can't plant them, but there are several locations where they grow, and one in particular is absolutely **loaded** with tarberry. And better yet, this location is pretty far out of the way so accidentally tripping it's respawn timer reset is difficult, and once you've gone over the place once or twice there's not much else there as distraction.

What irks me is the survival mode extra herbal crafting bits weren't opened up to the rest of the difficulty levels, but really only because my 600+ hour single playthrough isn't survival and all the time I see some strange plants and *know* they're meaningful, but they're noninteractive. Could have at least slipped 'em in a food recipe....

maybe you have Wild Tarberries, you can plant (tame) Tarberries* e.g. at The Slog.
*just checking this will report back.

From my understanding, you have no choice but to update, since Steam forces it.

You can actually disable auto update for every game on Steam. Right click it in library, go to properties and you should find there an option to un-check auto updates.

its a reason you cant plant them, using mods to plant them is cheating, you get them at the Gol settlement.

You can't cheat in a single-player game...

Cheating?

Does it give you any real life benefits? Does it give you any advantages against other players?
