The Big dig, please!!!

Terrible mission concept with lousy reward at end. A strongroom loaded with loot? At best there were 600 caps, if divided equally and since I did all the real fighting, my cut should have exceeded 200 caps. Who was reponsible for this mess?

PS: I hate these companion missions, they get in the way, they block your view and they alert mobs while setting off traps. Thanks but no thanks, I travel solo!

There's no command to tell them to keep their distance from you either. And when you stop short, or turn around and try to go the other way, they are right in your face. The worst is when you are sneaking, and throw a frag or enemies are coming at you and your idiot companion actually blocks you from going backwards in a tight hallway or something. I've died a couple of times like that, screaming and cursing at the computer.

Also, if i'm not mistaken, the Big Dig is one of if not the mission required to get Hancock as your Companion.

It might depend on who you side with. I got Hancock as an option after completing it, because I decided not to loot it.

I did the last part sideing against Bobbi and with Hancock so thats why i got him as a Companion. And regardless of what way you do it, you still get The Ashmaker from doing it.

Hancock is a pretty cool companion, so even though I hate that mission just like you do I go through with it every single playthrough anyway

1) Had I known the outcome I wouldn't have done it. 2) After all that work I wasn't going back to a point before the mission.

I like wandering solo, because of the reasons listed, but some day I might check out these companions.

You my friend understand and by the way, I kept sreaming at the monitor throughout that mission... "get the hell out of my way!"..."this is why I play solo"..."I hate these companions" and "I can't wait until I can get rid of these idiots". I laugh at my comments now, but not then.

Meh. Games like these are pointless to play for the loot.
There's junk everywhere anyway, more than you can carry.

It's better to play for the story ("see where this leads to") and make choices what kind of character you are.

I didn't care for the minigun, it eats through ammo and I like to scavenge so its weight was a problem for me, what I wanted was the x-01 set of armor, but there was just the torso. I guess that's something because I modded it and replaced the BOS torso.

The other people where incredibly annoying, especially since my only decent mid-range gun had an explosive modification so I frequently couldn't use it, but what bothered me most is that Bobbi kept talking about how you had to go South-West to get where you were going, and the location is South-West from where you start, but the path underground had you going a completely different direction. I want to say it was North or North-East, but I can't remember for sure.
