EDIT: To clarify, those are the new names Codsworth can pronounce since the 1.6 update.

Does it have to be a new game for codsworth to say your character's name? When I started from the beginning he said my character's name (Jane) but when i loaded up a save from just when I left the vault and I asked "what happened to the world?" he says "the world, mum?"

Finally we get Troy, that was the name I chose for the first playthrough but was immediately disappointed after.

Allthough I sadly cannot play the game to test it, try this

showlooksmenu player 1

Finish and rename your character again, see if it helps
