i too tend to lose lots of progress sometimes due to the lack of beds, but i found that having a stealth build on survival mode is really great, since fusion cores for a power armor build weigh quite a bit and running around without sneaking and without power armor is a death wish frequently enough.
in the entire time i played on my new survival mode save (level 52 atm) i encountered only 2 bugs i can remember, and both are related to quests.
i do think they should enable console in survival mode though since it can be used to fix and change many things bethesda didnt, and they should also enable achievements when using mods while they're at it.
Yep that would help. I too use only mods that fix things, rather than use mods that are cheats. So I play vanilla and for some reason, it randomy CTD here and there which tends to splash bucket of frustration on my otherwise "I love this" feelings. Hence this thread.
Yep I have roughly 450h (396 was previous playtru on normal) I didn't have single CTD, untill this new patch... than it started and the bad luck? that one is just normal for me =D. More settlements, I'm not looking forward to build all of those from ground up again =D.
It would be nice to know what is causing the crashes but it could be anything. I replaced all the meshes for the trees making it a lush forest of a game rather than a wasteland. It could be that.
I deleted some trash when I first started my mod and I heard that deleting items can cause crashes, maybe its that.
I also have a mod that allows more allies, maybe its that.
Either way this crashing has me disabling mod after mod and it still crashes in some areas for some reason.
The crashing for me is definately area based. Just not sure what. One spot is nearby where Cait is found. I leave there and head back to Diamond city and it crashes not far from there almost for sure.
Is it possible for there to be a message as to what caused the crash?
