Curing illnesses without Meds. Is it possible?
As I've been desperately struggling to find Antibiotics for quite some time, I noticed the illnesses were gone. Knowing that I can't have taken the meds, I assumed that it was possible for the illnesses to disappear by themselves. Was my guess correct? Has anyone else experienced such a miracle?

Yes, you can pay a doctor to heal any illness with the normal fee. But waiting I am not sure about

I have and it appears to be illnesses that affect sleep but I don't know if it does the same thing with the other illnesses.

It appears that some illnesses can be cured by sleeping in a bed

Hmm... Maybe) Although, I think I somehow have managed to cure myself by eating food which gives no Buffs/ And that's what makes me wonder...

It could be sleeping but im thinking it might be just time. I always popped antibiotics when going out fighting, but when I went for benevolent leader I didn't use em at all since I had to spend so much time there sleeping 24hrs and noticed several illnesses coming and going.

I think the illnesses were from the uncooked food and they went away from just time. I've eaten a lot of cooked food with no buffs and never saw anything go away at the time of consumption

There is an implant in the Sol's 6 thousand caps mod that auto cures "common" diseases, rank 1 is 25%, rank 2 50% and rank 3 full immunity. Again this only applies to common diseases. If you contract something more rare, you will need to use antibiotics to cure it.

I hate the infection, oh yeah, this one is very annoying whenever you get it.
Takes very time to cure without antibiotics or medics, but it can be cured with time.

I'm trying to get soon the Medic perk level 1 to build clinics in all my settlements.

another cure for illness: go back to one of the previous auto saves. I have done this a few times when i have woken up from a dirty mattress with an illness. I just reload from the last save, and i am not ill. But in order to do this, you have to be aware of your status before every nap, and you have to check if you got an illness after every wake up. I usually just go to a doctor or craft antibiotics.

null, i was not aware it could be cured with time. When i first started playing survival mode, i spent 3 or 4 game hours looking for a doctor or antibiotic. In the end i traveled to Covenant. For some reason the doctor that usually shows up near the concord cooking fire did not show up.

An illness will last about 3 in-game days. Depending on the specific illness you can wait it out by managing your resources accordingly. It's more dangerous to do so earlier in the game however due to the lower HP.

This seemed to be the case with my character.
I ate a lot & drank a lot, but went without sleep for some days. Parasites and Lethargy were cured automatically, but I got the Weary effect due to an enormous lack of sleep :steamhappy:

My style on this run is to be a "good" boy; take no chems, eat/drink as required, and get restful rest - so not getting too many illnesses. As I level up, finding the game is allowing me to go longer periods w/out sleep - so that I can combine daylight plus night time activities if needed (going with a lighweight stealth build).

The more I play with Survivor mode, and learn how the game is structured, I doubt I'll ever go back to Very Hard. Really enjoy the extra challenge(s), plus making up some specific in-game rules.
