Permanently missing 1 HP
My character is permanently missing 1 HP, no matter what I do. I've tried going to the doctor and curing rads, using radaway, using the decontamination arch, etc, all to cure rads in case there was something due to that.

Unfortunately not even player.sethealth or recycleactor console commands seem to work to cure this problem.

I can't seem to find other solutions by searching so I'm posting here.

I found how to get that annoying -1 health that prevents the health bar from dissapearing so you enjoy a pristine HUD.

What You Need To Do
is: find Mutant Hound Meat and cook it, this provides -5 rads when consumed and removes the -1 rad point that can't normally be treated with conventional methods.

P.S Having the heath bar not vanish at 198/199 HP drove my OCD off the walls lol... I hope this solution helps!

lol. One hit point? You are a perfectionist. I am not even sure how many hitpoints my character has.
The author of this topic has marked a post as the answer to their question.

It's not a problem, it's fractional HP. If your display HP is 199 and your max HP is 200, you have a fraction of HP max from 199-200 because END 6-10 don't give whole units of HP per level.

Either that, or as above poster pointed out, it's the lingering Rad from doctors, RadAway, Refreshing Beverage or Mutant Hound Meat (Cooked) will fix the issue.

Your HP bar should still disappear regardless as long as your HP is at 100%, whether your HP is true 200 or 199.5. If your HP bar is still lingering around while missing 1hp, it's probably the phantom RAD. Don't know if wasting a Radaway or going through the trouble of Mutant Hound Meat stockpiling is worth that.

I have had this happen to me, I used Player.setav health 1. Then it showed hp 0/1 (still alive)
I went to a doctor to cure me, after that it was hp 1/1. Then I used player.setav health again.
That fixed it for me!

I am sure the original posters from a year ago appreciate your timely advice.

It can fix itself and it can occur again.

...I was wondering about that myself. I'm never at full health tho so it doesn't bother me so much.

Another solution I found is Decontamination Arch from some DLC - removes all rads, the bugged 1 included it seems.

Somtimes. Not all the time. Has somethign to do with haivng a fraction of a hp in rad damage.
