(SOLVED) Can't move.
I have just bought this game yesterday and the game was working fine, I could use my arrow keys to move. Now when I try to play today, at the beginning of the game where you exit out of the vault I cant move at all. Not with the arrow keys or wasd. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help will be appreciated.

Turn controller of in settings, or unplug it if you have one plugged in.

I have it unplugged so I'll try turning off the controller in settings.It wont even let me hit esc.

yup. the game automatically detects other types of controllers and by random default switches to them. even when disconnected, a bug could show up where it still detects the controller.

if you cant exit the game, simply alt+f4 and it closes the game. then start it up again.

The controller is unplugged and I turned the controller off in settings and it still isnt letting me move.

I checked canurunit.com and it said i passed minimum specs. I have a amd phenom 2 x4 965 black edition. Nvidia GTX 960 2 Gb and 12 gb ram. It was running fine. I just did a little test. I changed my name before exiting out the vault and I couldn't move, but if i didnt change my name and just exited out the vault my up,down,right,left was working. I think that is pretty stupid that changing my name stops me from moving when exiting the vault.

seems like a random bug. i would say create a new game and use the right name from the beginning.

I am affected by this at well. Not every load, but some, I get stuck, and the only solution I found it so alt-f, close game, then close steam, then reload both.

IRRITATING. At least once an hour.

I use mouse and keyboard- never a controller for any game.

I got it working but forget how I got it working. Afterall this thread I made was 1 year and 4 months ago. I don't use controllers either unless it is a racing game.

i thought i had it fixed but im getting it today. like i can move around and play then bam i cant move then i can then i cant all in a few minutes, ending in a total coma. i can still jump.

specs i-9 ,msi ace board, 64gbram, ssd's Samsung, m.2 are crap few brands. corsair digital psu,Venus mouse (swear by them), msi x trio 2080 super.

software running: geforce experience , Steam.
i use to use chrome open with like 30 tabs open...
play music from yt in the baccckground but not no more.

i do have the fps uncapped.
no mods
