How many guns do you carry at once?
How many guns do you carry at once? Excluding guns you pick up from loot to sell / store in a chest.

2 if i go on farming xp and ressources. Deliverer (silenced)and kremvhs tooth.
If i think i need to be even more silent and sneaky i add a silenced sniperrifle.
I play vanilla survival, level 40.

Depends on what ammo I have and what I find the most of. Early on I keep a .38 rifle/pistol due to the abundance of ammo. I also try to keep a .308 and a shotgun, anything else is usually just excess weight.

I play on survival so to leave room in my inventory for gathering supplies I usually only carry 4 weapons............1 melee, 1 pistol, the other 2 are some combo of either shotgun or rifle or energy rifle.........lately I always have my "exploding" shotgun that I keep around for when things get really hairy

i run dlc's here so try to stick with me :P

i got the defense gun, which is basically a pipe gun who made love to a japanese type 100 smg, with a little bit added juice, because of the abundance of .38 rounds. i usually carry this one around because it looks so good. it does only 25 base damage, but i dont care. plenty of ammo lying around to shoot with.

i got the ptrd-1 with 14.5mm rounds, because those are more in abundance than the .50 bullets. this thing is just a beast. though you are poor as hell in the beginning and these rounds are ever so expensive, so every shot has to count, the 140 damage really helps you out on lower levels when you suddenly have a few enemies around ya you cant handle normally. or you wander through the city and suddenly come across a behemoth mutant who wears a peddle boat as a hat.

the pipe shotgun. thats right! someone made a mod of a pipe shotgun. this thing makes even a raider kill you with ease. but past level 10, they are more effective on the raiders themselves than they are on you, plus, you can mod them in such a way that they become like an early level combat shotgun. really handy.

laser pistol. somehow, i dont like how the laser rifle looks, so i always mod it into a pistol. max upgraded at all times to be as efficient as possible. i use a mod that makes its lasers fire like in star trek! almost like a laser plasma pistol, i think.

currently, I take three weapons. I have a fully upgraded recon scoped sniper rifle (131hit / 46x), a fully upgraded double projectile gauss rifle (765hit) and another upgraded laser rifle or my upgraded shotgun (200 hit/56x). (I had trouble finding a normal rifle that has the impact of the gauss rifle (3.5 sneak bonus with full charge and double hit... goo puddle achieved!) However: At the beginning I used a .38 pipe rifle/pistol and a 10mm pistol. Upgraded as I found them.

Three, sometimes four. Usually I run with a "light" weapon for taking out trash mobs with cheap ammo, a "sniper" weapon for taking out heavy targets from far away, and a "close-range" weapon like a shotgun for when I get stuck facing heavy targets up-close. I also occasionally carry a heavy weapon, just for fun.

Mind you, I'm running with several mods that expand and massively rebalance the weapons in the game, so ammo is far less plentiful than it is in the normal version of the game.

a zillion, on a test day/weekend.
on a normal day its probaly 3.
mostly custom mods.

loud, single shot, long scoped assault rifle with m203 underbarrel gl.
silent, auto, reflex sighted assault rifle with 3 round underbarrel shotgun attachment.
silent auto 50 cal pistol.

(obv changes as you go through the game).

currently i use a x2 full health combat knife an the old reliable 45-70 for a sniper rifle. sometimes I shoot from the hip with the 45-70 somtimes, for targets that aren't yet in melee range. The 45-70 feels good shooting from the hip.

previous build i didnt use melee an maxed all but heavy weapons gun perks. carried: 10mm(later switched out to a .44), maxed out semiauto shotgun, .45 automatic "machine gun" an a sniper rifle.

Current gal runs with a legendary commando knife for sneak attacks, heated supersledge for the big guys, grognak's axe, kneecapper pipegun for those deathclaws and an automatic explosive 10mm pistol. Oh and a rocketlauncher for when I feel like it.

I over do it a bit, right now I carry a .45, a combat shotgun, an AR of some sort, a sniper rifle or heavy weapon if i can carry it, a laser weapon and a .44 revolver plus an assortment of grenades and mines.

Also Ada set up with two automatic laser rifles and a robobrain "blue ♥♥♥♥ firing" head, holy crap can she mess stuff up.
