Settlement clinic bug
Hey guys!

Started a new game after a long break from this game, loving the new survival mode, but I've got a problem.

I've built a clinic in Sanctuary, but when I talk to the settler working in it, my character says "I'm looking for chems" and I'm puted directly into the trade menu.
I've tried different solutions found online :
- wait for 48h
- asign the settler to crops, stock the clinic, then rebuild and reasign.
- change the location of the clinic

Nothing worked for me!

Does anyone have a solution for this bug? Thanks in advance.

PS: Sorry for my english, not my native language.

I'm having the same issue at Echo Lake Lumber... Also in Survival mode. Anyone got an idea how to fix it?

You have enough points in "medic" ?

The issue seems to be that I used named settler (Longs, etc...) to man the clinic. Once settlers refered as "settler" arrived at Sanctuary, it worked immediatly with them.

Hope it can help you njel72!

You're lucky. I had a similar problem happen to me on Far Harbour (every settlement vendor would go straight to barter, which was a problem for the clinic), only it had nothing to do with using named settlers or not, Nothing fixed it for me, but thanfully the problem only persists on Far Harbour, an the commonwealth works fine.

Not been on Far Harbour yet, but as I searched a solution to my problem, I saw that many have the same issue on Far Harbour...

Realy hoping it'll be fixed.

I'm glad that a got lucky with this "auto-fixing" bug, but I know for a fact that the clinic is not at the place on want it to be when i'll work harder on building Sanctuary... Hope that moving it wont break it!

I know this post is old, but this is for anyone looking for a solution to this date like i did. Raccoon is right, you MUST have a "SETTLER" work the medical area. DO NOT ASSIGN
UNIQUE CHARACTERS, such as NPC's with names, to "Stores"

It may not be of use any longer, but the solution is actually that you need to send someone from the Commonwealth- a mainlander. FarHarbor characters do not have the dialog required for Med Clinic it seems. I have successfully used modded settlers "named" or just "Settler" as well as named NPCs from the base game as med clinics on Far Harbor, but they must not be from Far Harbor.
