I tried that several times to no effect, unfortunately. That fix seems to work for some people and outright does nothing for others (in fact, last time I tried this, Steam didn't seem to find any damaged files.
it took long to get to the real answer so the price got hiked.
Can we please not have posts like this muck up the thread? There are those of us that legitimatelly enjoy the game and are unhappy about these problems but are trying to be mature as we find a solution, provided there is one, until a proper patch is released.
Same here. I'm pretty much convinced its whatever they did in the patch that's causing this at this point.
Yeah it crashed the first time but I tried again today and now it works. Thanks man. PM me for your reward.
I've been wanting to upgrade my driver's for a while now thanks for the recommendation!
Yes, I'm using mods, and they are as follows (not a lot of the weapon mods you see are not active and I deleted the .esp files for them as according to the Weaponsmith Extended 2 mod, as the data is apparently in Weaponsmith 2's esp, it just needed the meshes and textures from what I can tell):

As you can see, I'm not running a "place everything" mod as far as I can tell, but I could be wrong, assuming mods that simply add their own workbenches count.
sure, even though bethesda has focused mostly on pc up until recently and has made great games in the past. your what we real people call trolls and cancer.
no, the thing is your gpu is actually not even hitting minimum specs, the only thing good about a gtx 745 is the 4 gigs of vram, it takes a several seconds though to actually obtain it with such, its great for multitasking on 4k, but the gpu cant even play games, i saw a video of someone playing farcry 4 and a hd 4400 was getting the same proformance as it was with a i3 and 8 gigs of ram, the gpu is just bad, id suggest at the very least a 750ti, those take very little power and can easily run the game in 1080p 60fps, on med-high settings.
Yeah, I'm not running the script extender as none of the mod I'm using need it. And I thought I tested it without mods, but it may have slipped my mind when I did a web search for a possible cause. I'm just kinda doubtful is all as you can see my load order about and the chief mods I'm using are Weaponsmith Extendend 2 and its companion/framework mods, and the game was running fine with those on. Heck, I was able to clear the Corvega Plant (which I can no longer even get to without fast traveling and having the game crash) with those mods enabled no problem, but I'll make sure to test without mods and let you know if it worked.
