Settler keep going to bunker hill
Hello, was just wondering if anyone else has run into an issue where all their sanctuary settlers walk all the way to bunker hill and stay there? Haven't found a fix so far...and yes I do use a couple mods but I'e never had this happen before

Thanks!

There are several mods that end up messing with the settler AI when installed. Around the nexus people claimed it was a mod called Settler Sandbox Expanded, but I uninstalled that one to no avail. However a mod called No Building Limits was actually the problem. For whatever reason this made all my settlers path to Bunker Hill once their work day was done, and once uninstalled they all returned to normal.

If you have a mod that manipulates your settlement build height or limit, that's probably it. If you're completely vanilla and still having this problem, as far as I could tell you're kind of out of luck. You'll have to start a new game and see if that resolves the issue.

All? er no but I have had a settler or two just wander far and wide around the commonwealth. Which was a problem if they were the one I had to turn a settle quest in to

This happened to me and it was because of a couple of settlement mods..When I turned them off I had to restart another game...

I still have some wandering settlers that I believe is a bug in game.. For most parts my settlers stay in the settlement now..

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP I am having the exact same issues, I also run a few mods such as increase settler population and settler cosmetic stuff but nothing I do seems to help, including toggling all mods related to npc/settlers. They work very rarely in the right place and can almost allways be found at bunker hill, especially all essential settlement npcs. I haven't found any mention of this anywhere else including mod forums on the nexus. Would love any help necessary, I'm not tech savvy to be rooting too deep in the files to see what this is.

I had tried that exact same thing and even later in the game all my settlers started going back to BH and I had specifically avoided running any settler/settlement related mods into the game. I understand others can cause this and I cant seem to single it out.

Mods are not the issue. I play without mods and I have seen my settlers wandering outside the settlements quite frequently. It has to be something in one of the patches they had done in the last four months. They never used to act this way when the game was first released.

I have seen where every night at quitting time the Abernathy family would stop working and start heading south.

I had a doctor at Hangman's Alley up near the little diner by Vault 81 for no apparent reason.

I also noticed my settlers are getting fat ever since installing the Vault DLC.

Also mine on every game file is specifically going to Bunker hill in great numbers

No, the settlers generated by the recruitment beacon. A lot of them have the fat stretchy faces like Clem.

I have gotten a few female settlers that I would rather prefer the brahmin in my bed.

I have experienced the same problem. I sent something to Bethesda but God knows if that will work. I noticed the Castle is less prone. Same for you guys?
Hi folks, I am still getting that weird bug where settlers (from Sanctuary Hills in my case) keep going to Bunker Hill and basically stay there, leaving Sanctuary Hills empty.
Is anyone aware of a true fix for that? Even a mod or so maybe?

I dont know why but I see settlers leave the settlement at night constantly if I was not in the area when their work cycled ended. I think Bunker Hill is their default wandering location.

I even had settlers walk all the way to Sunshine Tidings the other day. I think they were coming to ask for help for a radiant.

Now when you mean empty do you mean they actually reassigned themself to the Bunker Hill settlement? Or did they just wander off to Bunker Hill?
Thanks, they don’t actually reassign to bunker hill, they just go down there and gather in a large group towards the back of bunker hill, just standing there, leaving sanctuary hill void of settlers…sometimes they come back, just do go down again…

Yeah it is something funky with the AI. From what I can tell if I walk into any settlement (not jsut Sanctuary) after work hours have ended (7-7) they will be all walking off into the distance. However if I am in the settlement when the work shift ends they will gather around the food stores and chairs and such.

Thye should return to the settlement and should still be counting for food production etc even though for some dumbass reason they are in Bunker Hill. So like if you sleep in Sanctuary then they should all be there when you wake up.

Just one of Bugthesda's weird bugs (I use no mods) that never got fixed.
