Then realize that the hopper is totally useless because it would be faster to just load the manufacturing unit manually.
It didnt do anything while i was sleeping apparently and i have to actually watch it do its thing....
Unfortunately, it ONLY works on the actual Workbench it's self. You cannot use objects that share the workbench inventory (like a stove or a armor bench).
This means some bases are difficult if not next to impossible to build factories at, and they severely limit your ability to choose where you build.
Thats true, but there is a great mod on Nexus that lets u move the workbench without causing bugs or reset problems, its called : workshop workbench marker
I personally put a container behind the hopper, and when i come back from collecting junk in the wasteland i put it in the container and then my factory sorts everything i collected and turns it into ammo and the unused stuff gets put into another container aurtomaticly
Works pretty well, its mostly for fun tho
It takes out literally everything, even mods, weapons, armor,so if u got like 2000 wood in there it wil take out all the 2000 pieces first before it gets to other stuff
I tried placing it directly next to the workshop, and placing a bottle of purified water, tato, corn, and mutfruit with the intention of crafting starch, but nothing seems to be pulling
This ^
WHY is there no option to set vacuum hopper to pull specific items or items containing certain components from the workshop? You can do this with sorters by placing certain objects/components inside it to act as sort of a "template".
Oh you wanna have a machine that builds ammo connected to vacuum hopper next to workshop? Just gotta wait while hopper pulls out several thousand units of wood out of it before it MIGHT start pulling items out from workshop that the machine you set up actually needs for building the stuff you want it to build -_-
