Is there somewhere else to get green paint for the quest given by Abbot?

It's not that it's difficult, it's an easy quest. I remember my last playthrough I found green paint somewhere else and just went ahead and went straight to Abbot afterwards. I don't mind going to the actual area to get green paint, but it's absolutely bothering me that I can't remember where I initially got it. I remember it was a visible item that I looted from the floor, or a shelf.

This is worse than remembering some song lyrics but being unable to remember what song it's from.

Yes I picked up green paint else where on my expedations in the commonwealth, but can't recall were, sorry!..

Apparently you can find a can in the Mechanist's Lair, according to the wiki entry on the quest.

Oh dear god I love you. I remember it was somewhere like that, I just didn't rely on the wiki because the actual page on green paint had nothing but the mixer

There is also a can of green paint in the far harbor DLC. (I think it was in the vault under Cliffs Edge Hotel.)

In Hardware Town, you'll find blue and yellow paints, and a mixing paint station.

it's one of those random items i think. i've certainly found blue and yellow paint laying all over the place. notably; settlements, hardware stores, super markets, workshops/factories and the occasional military base. not sure if i found green paint, but it could be a case of look and you will find. what with actual green being rarer as it skips the mixing.

Yeah thanks guys. It wasn't a question because I didn't know what to do, but a question to satisfy my curiosity. When I get around to doing that quest I probably will go to Hardware Town even if I have green paint already for the exp from the raiders. I was just driven mad by not remembering where I had gotten it before

the intended place to go is hardware town, as there is a paint mixer machine at the back
