Otherwise, I would look into PlayStation support
You're quite literally on a forum used for the PC version of the game, on a service which is the LARGEST marketplace for PC games.
It's like if I went to the Sony forums and complained there was a lot of people with useless, overpriced bricks around me. It'd make no sense.
The medium that a forum is created on doesn't dictate the subject or the context.
Also I found out the problem. Seems Sony decided to update the PS4 system software in the middle of my download =-=' GG Sony...GG .... it should install normally this time.
Also am I blind or is this topic in the 'general discussion' category. Oh yeah it is...nevermind...
It would, however, help if your post . . . went somewhere. You don't ask a question . . .just . . . list . . . a . . . .few . . . statements. Apparently with words redacted.
Uh, yeah - except that
1. this is a General Discussion forum for the PC version of the game
2. If you have a PS4 issue you'd find more help in a PS4 forum
3. You didn't actually ask for help or anything like that - you just said that the PS4 was downloading slowly.
As far as this goes - sure. Pretty much every game is standalone. FO2 has stuff referenced from things that happened in FO1 - but how those things came about isn't important, you'll get the background info you need for FO2.
And all the other games are set up in their own little corners with pretty much no real story overlap between them. The Synths in FO4 are a tiny, tiny, little optional sidequest that most people don't ever even see in FO3, there's a couple of references to the NCR (from FO1/2/FNV) that have no impact on the current setting.
I get where you're coming from. We're all talking about Fallout 4 here, but you have to remember that what you're asking for is technical help. Your asking questions for help with a Playstation 4. That would be like if I went onto the forums for PS4 and asked for help with Fallout 4 on my PC.
Sure, its the same game, but not the same platform. I wouldn't expect people to know how to fix my crashing issues on PC if I went onto the PS4 forums. Any moderators or Sony reps would just point me somewhere else since my problem resides on PC, which is unrelated to anything that may happen on console.
That's one reason why we have specific portals for people to go on in forums. That way, anyone searching for a solution to their problem, or to ask a question, won't have to search through a hodgepodge of information.
I think it would turn into a mess if all three platforms were allowed onto these forums. Its already a train wreak as it is, and it would most likely make it worse (speaking hypothetically).
Now that the game is downloaded it says 'installing' but needs to be 'downloaded' according to the info about the game.
What? How does this make sense at all. I ALREADY DOWNLOADED THE WHOLE THING.
It's been 2 or 3 hours installing and only at 36% ... I get that it's a big game (34 GB) but good lord this is just silly ...
