Institute Bound! Any Tips?
Just about to head through the teleporter and into the Institute but I'm curious if there is anything I should bring (or not bring) along before going through?
Namely I'm with the Railroad and I'm wearing their painted power armor...should I avoid this and paint it something else? Maybe not wear any power armor?
Secondly what sort of armament should I be toting? I assume things that damage robots and such but anything else?
Please let me know in the comments below but also TRY TO REMAIN SPOILER FREE for myself and anyone else who is reading this!

Your not going to fight unless you trigger it. Armor doesn't matter they don't care if you wear rr armor.

There is no Faction awareness in terms of armor, so wear whatever you want. If it is your first time in the institute you don't even need a weapon, the first visit is non-hostile. There are actually no "robots" down there only synths and scientists, just make sure to explore all the areas, there are terminals with some neat info.

Oh...well...thats a bit...dissapointing. Oh well I'll just leave all my stuff at the Mercer Safe House then. Can Companions come with or is it just you?

Armour won't make another faction hostile.
Don't bother wearing PA, it's not a hostile encounter

Companions won't be with you but they will still follow you.
They can't take the relay, therefore you will be unable to access them

If you want, they'll resume following you when you leave.
