Does gender affect clothing found?

I know this is a dumb question and i'm ashamed of asking it having spent a fair amount of hours in-game. I ask because i always play as a male, and normally i'll find all (or seemingly all) male outfits throughout the game. Yet for some reason on my most recent character (also male) i'm only finding dresses and womens clothing?? I'm beginning to think that clothing found IS gender specific but the game bugged and the loot system thinks i'm female or something. Is this the case, or am i just having really bad luck?

No it's not. The only difference in clothing is the shape of it around the body. With the dresses it just lacks the bumps of the breasts and has a smaller waist.
Occasionally I get a ♥♥♥♥ bulge which I assume is not included in the female versions xD

Only time i remember gender affects the clothing received is the dress/outfit you get from Rex after rescuing him.

Agatha's Dress +3 Charisma.
Awarded for completing Curtain Call, (male characters will receive Reginald's suit, which has identical stats)

Thanks for that! I dont remember getting that suit my first time completeing it. Now i have a good reason to resond to his distress signal (sort of) fast :p
