I don't think the deathclaws have much to worry about, except for humanoids carrying big guns.
I think the behemoth gets an advantage in reach, since they're usually carrying fire hydrant standards from the cap all the way down to the main valve.... ~6-8 feet of cast iron hurt.
Behemoths hit alot harder than deathclaws in my experience...
Deathclaws would lose to some of the known creatures if you'd put them in say, a pit for a 1v1 battle to the death. In nature, they'd avoid fights they cannot win or team up together in packs to take down a larger target.
I think the best thing we can make an example with would be that a "behemoth/mirelurk queen" is a "TRex with a lower IQ" and a Deathclaw a Raptor (Which were already (supposedly!) extremely smart) at an even higher level such as it's capable of learning other languages.
And with that example you'd see that roaming trexes would pose little to no threat to packs of raptors.
Nocturnal-only stealthed Chameleon Feral Ghouls might be interesting, heh.
Why is speaking english so weird, the Deathclaws in 2 are much smater than the average deathclaw the setting is in America and they where experimented on by the enclave, remmnets of the US military.
All of those don't count as they're not beasts. If you feel they SHOULD count then I'd add a final one to the list:
The Courser.
And Coursers only get better versions rather quickly (Compared to normal evolutions of creatures)
and if i remember correctly deathclawas were an fev experiment,
so maybe they got dumber every generation.
not canonical would be the bos deathclaws, they even had fur, strange reptiles
