No sound

Recently I no longer have any audio, in the opening introduction with the special video it has audio but other than that there is no audio. I have had the game since day one with no issues with audio but all of a sudden I no longer have audio. Is there any fix that I can attempt to get audio back. I have tried my speakers, and headphones which neither work. All my other games have audio so my speakers are not at fault.

i downloaded fallout 4 had the ruff sound bug fix'd it and now the next day i have no sound what so ever iv try'd every fix i can find and still nothing at this rate i wont bother playing the game if theres not a proper fix or bathesda actualy gets off there butts and fix's it is there a way to restore the sound iv try'd updateing the direct x and iv try'd audio drivers

HI! Just ran into this problem and after looking online with no success, I managed to figure out what was doing it for me. This is how I fixed it. 1. Using Vortex (NMM) I disconnected all mods. 2. Using Steam verified all files. 3. Ran compatibility Troubleshooter under the properties tab on the Fallout 4 executable. Mine suggested Windows 8 compatibility (I’m on 10). 4. Re-enabled all mods (deployed). 5.open the Fallout 4 launcher through Steam (mine reset the graphic settings upon verification and I had to select these again). I then closed the Launcher, without starting the game and opened it in Vortex. Presto. Worked. Hope this helps anyone else if they are having any unresolved issues.
