Does Dogmeat get companion bonuses

So I know that you can use the lone wanderer perk with dogmeat but does he get the bonuses from comics and stuff that you pick up?

Unfortunately from what I understand, Lone Wanderer may not work with Dogmeat anymore.

Dogmeat gets the bonus from Astoundingly Awesome Tales #12, however the Live and Love series of magazines should work but currently don't at this point in time.

Dogmeat wasn't intended to be a "full" companion, you were supposed to have him along a regular companion but for some reason that feature was removed. That's why e.g. Piper likes it when you heal him and why lone wanderer works while you have him. It's also the reason why Live and Love bonuses don't work for him.
The mod "Everyone's Best Friend" restores this feature, I highly recommend it.
