Nick Disapears during Best Left Forgotten

So im playing Survival and used up my saves during this quest. After leaving the Atoms HQ i noticed Nick was gone. Later i also noticed that i could ask Longfellow to come with me without getting a promt to where to dump Nick.

ive found one solution to this, and that involves fast travle to the commonwealth and back. Also maybe console.

Im on survival mode so neither of those are and option.


Is this intentional? Did i miss somewhere where he tells me he went?

easiest way is to move Nick at you with console

prid 00002f25

followed by:

moveto player

Enable the console with the mod and turn it off later if you don't want to keep it.

In survival your companions go back to their home town if "killed" ans not healed by the player.
Maybe thats the reason (most companions are stupid an brake ther lage by falling from hights e.g.) So go to DC and check his office for Nick.

Easiest way to get started in sorting it is to turn down the difficulty to enable the console, then enter the command the other person commented here. You will fast travel to him and know where he is, but you can't turn the difficulty back. So you then have to load back to your survival mode save (so make sure you do save first) and make the trek to where you located him.

Will this work without breaking my survival playthrough? I really want to keep doing the far Harbor on pure survival.

Nick disappeared when retrieving the memories. Seems to happen to a few people. Haven't found many other with my problem. During memory 3 he was still there... :/

1) Save
2) Turn down difficulty
3) Console command to teleport and find him
4) Load back to your save
5) Start walking there...hopefully it's not far.

This won't wreck your survival play because you load back to before changing the difficulty. The only concern you will have is if you think walking from settlement to settlement all over Far Harbour and the commonwealth to find someone is part of the game. Personally I don't think enduring that is part of the game.

Okay to i found Nick at that Dream place in the town on badguys. The town was unvisited but i had an active main story quest there.

So during the hacking of "best left forgotten" after file #3 Nick disbands without a promt to where to dump him, goes to an unvisited area that is not a settlement. Once teleported there i could ask him to follow me.


So now wait a long walk from Far Harbour to that commonwealth city which name has fallen out of my mind.

it doesn't permanently...turn off the console mod after you fixed and the M will leave

Necromancing here, but this is the perfect example of a useless comment. Can't give us a name, region, or even vague description of the area vanishing Nick gets deposited. Big help

If i had remebered where i found him i would have written it down ofc. I made the comment to inform other users that he had been found and was not gone from the game. I dont see how your comment helps me remembering the location where i found a videogame character 7 years ago.

I dont see how it's useless to inform that an issue got resolved.
