far harbour best left forgotten
The title of that quest sums up my feelings towarsd it. I have been enjoying the DLC until this tedious monstrosity came along, i can hardly face bothering to do it. If i wany to play that sort of game i'll buy it,......absolute rubbish retrieving the memories. SO DISSAPPOINTED that someone actually thought that the majority of FO4 players would even want that!
I won't go into detail to avoid any spoilers at all but boy that is, for me, a game breaker on the DLC. I genuinely may not even bother with it. So tempted to just take my boat back to the mainland.

I didn't really like these sections but considering how repetitive the quests are i can't really fault them for trying something new.

My problem retrieving the memories was that I am hearing impaired and they are not close captioned like the rest of the game. I have a very hard time understand everything Dima was saying so I did not hear how to actually play it so I exited the first puzzle with all the blocks in my inventory saved the game. Next day I loaded the game went into he memory and all the blocks were gone from my inventory so I had no way of completing it.

I don't even know why everyone has such a problem with these puzzles, if they're too difficult for you or you don't like them for whatever reason, why not just look up how to do it and be done with it. You only need to do the first three anyway, and I don't see how it would be considered a game breaker for anyone, besides once it's done, you never have to do it again. Also wouldn't another solution be to use the console to just skip past those stages of the quest.

Just a word of warning that you need to hear the memories to activate the next part of the quest. If you don't have the holotapes in your pip boy after you use the command you can't progress.

Except for the final one, each level took me all of a minute to get through. They're fast, easy and a nice change from "murder this named jerkoff raider" quests that we have far too many of.

On my first playthrough of it, I had to go into Godmode for the last 3 missions. Waaaaayyyy too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard, Bethesda.

The word stupidity does not do this thread justice.

It's a SP game, it's supposed to have game stuff in it, what you want his memories to be checkers, it's a FPS and a RPG. If you do not understand what those are and how different games can intermix them together then you should be on the FBI's no games list.

It's a SP game, if something is too hard read how to do it, if something is too hard lower the difficulty, you can do that on the fly, if the game is too hard go in and out of god mode (on PC), it's a SP game.

It's a SP game, use your imagination, have your way with it, do what you want, no one else cares. It is a pure fact it's not the games fault cuz the game is designed for many, not just you.

I dont think adding content to a game is bad, but I agree it should be optional like settlement building which isnt everyone cup of tea

I liked it, as far as puzzles go, it was beginner level.

god, The fact it is SP does not mean it can be everything, you have your opinion which is good I on the other hand disagree, i want a semi-realistic feel, i NEVER use a god mode as in my books thats cheating, i also never adjust the difficulty ditto. So in effect if you feel that makes a good game, then thats great for you, i on the other hand find it very annoying when it feels out of the game context. E.G. A character with 8-10 INT should automatically find this easier than a character with INT 1-3, if that was somehow incorporated then i would be happier (still not happy) with a part of the game that felt like Bethesda was trying too hard to make something different.
SP matters not one jot to me, if im playing alone or online with others I still want it to feel right. I have always stood up for Bethesda and the FO franchise, it just bugs me when they seem to lose sight of what the game really is.
I obviuosly understand what FPS & RPGs are, I just dont see how that part of the game realistically is either.
FBI list is you being silly and lacking a good argument for your case.
The fact i can do what i want and nobody cares is pointless, its about the gaming experience. I don't need others in a game to justify my enjoyment, i just want a good, well designed, gaming experience.

It does actually

I spend all day thinking

When I get home I wanna mindlessly blow some stuff up and build a 3 story house as a monument to myself as a post nuclear god of the fog

This weird voxel pseudo puzzle totally messed up my mojo that night

That's exactly where you are messed up.

The fact that it's SP means it can be what you want, what each of us want. There is no cheating in SP games cuz no one cares about what the others do. I couldn't care less if you run through the entire game in god mode. Open your mind!

If you never adjust the difficulty then you are severly lacking in playing the game. Run through the game on survival not doing much of the RPG elements, then run through the game on normal doing more of the RPG elements, then run through the game siding with different factions, then introduce mods, several examples. Have fun with it, it's SP, no one cares. Get it!

I'm trying to help you understand how you can have more fun with the game but you seem kinda thick in that regard by latching onto it's B's fault you aren't happy. Make yourself happy! Don't blame B cuz you choose not to be happy.
arconoff Jun 4, 2016 @ 12:19pm
God, Don't call me thick because I have a different opinion to you.

I accept your view but, like I said, don't name call.

It's not an opinion when you apply MP ideas to SP play, that's just wrong. MP is MP, SP is SP, separate them. Thick isn't a name, it's trying to get you to open your eyes to the ways of SP.
