Check if the unofficial patch fixes that.
You also got an answer for your issue: Check if the unofficial patch fixes that by now.
And Far Harbor is 2 weeks old.
I had about a dozen robot provisoners that were fully upgraded sentries. Only one of them had reset and I could not remember which AI type I had given the robot.
Probably going to test it in my current game once I get the mods and spare scrap to make a bunch.
To fix it, you might try setting it as a provisioner between the two areas and just watch it till it fixes itself then take it back on as a companion. (also make sure it has legs that can fit in a vertibird to avoid the same thing happening again)
Some people can't read titles. Automatron is not Far Harbor. The DLC is unrelated. Automatron's been out for months.
As for the Unofficial Patch, I can't try it - Bethesda's updating too often, making the last patch absolete. I was hoping for a console command or some such.
Thanks for the idea Storm. Maybe I reacted too quick to him reverting, but he still hasn't changed back - I've avoided upgrading any robots, or making new ones since this literally breaks the entire point of the DLC. Sux.
So.....the obvious question is then, WHY START ANOTHER THREAD?
What a load of BS, seriously.
I'm using the Unofficial patch and 1.5.205
Some people like you can not read at all.
The information given DID have to do with the Automatron. He used the Far Harbor settlements as an example of it causing the reset bug.
If you had read the topic you would know you really did not tell us anything new.
SERIOUS CAUTION messing with this stuff, a couple of things that happened seemed indicative of it changing some gamefile. That is to say, some things may not be totally fixed loading a previous savefile.
Some problems I had: Changing to human and then loading a save will make them go invisible, don't ask me why I found this out. Shrinking sentry bots, which is kind of awesome for not getting it stuck. All bots legs get crippled, but it seems you can just swap out the leg parts if you build a robo bay and catch them coming home - they go back to work full speed. Even if you dont, at least they get to keep the other parts going - weapons fully functional for me.
Not saying this is a definite fix, but I was having absolutely NO luck getting these things not to revert until I started playing with this, now I have a few supply links I'm confident about.
Best luck I've had is doing setrace human > setrace robot and then replacing the legs. Going straight for setrace robot seems to still give me the bug.
