Ambient/Background Sounds for Settlements
I feel like my Settlements could need some life and i already took care of busy settlers and co. However, i couldnt find any ambience sounds apart from SS1/2 which isnt really the deal.
Is there any Mods out to add some sort of background noises (Voices, working sounds - whatever)

I have not run across any. I know what you mean though, SS1 and SS2 is awesome for making settlements feel alive, but overall there is just too many buggy issues. Yet every time I play my Horizon loadout I miss that "settlement is alive" feeling.

Yea, SS1/2 has some ambience options going. But still missing somewhat like Tavern sounds or something. Just a bunch of voices

I would say just install SS1 and let the background noises do their thing, but the problem is Workshop Framework requirement messing with stuff.

Well you cant install SS1 and SS2 together. SS2 should have the ambient settlement noises already, unless you turned it off.

Yea, it has them. "Developing sounds and immersion as the settlement grows" but whatsoever, its turned on and there's none, even in my bigger settlements (20+) with all sort of stuff. I gotta investigate that a bit further.

Possible conflict with another mod?
Wrong load order?

I would try disabling those mods load up a save and check that out first. Then just ALT-F4 to exit (so it does not create a save without the mods.)

Workshop Framework and SS2 does not play with other mods very well. Sometimes there may be compatibility patches which cna be found on the mod pages by going to the Files Required page for the mod, then looking in the "Mods Requiring this mod" section.

Yea, also my guess. Adjusting mods to Sim Settlements is always a bit of a struggle, getting patches or fixing incompabilitys on your own. Tho, i really didnt have sounds on the radar when doing so because i didnt knew it has those things going (Immersive sounds etc). The more you know!

I am reasonably sure that there are mods that do that. For example, mods that add animations like drilling, hammering etc. Plus various workstation mods like butchers, fishing, botany, woodworking etc. Plus critter mods like chickens, rabbits. I replace provisioner brahmins with dogs which helps too. Settler sandbox expansion, revised work schedules, guard rotations etc can help too.

A problem with most stores is that settlers don't use them. There is a mod that makes settlers hang around stores. I get the impression that a lot of what SS does is re-use stuff that originated in earlier mods.

Yea, its exactly what i thought there must be a mod for it!
Like placing animations/idle marker for sound instead (bar noises etc pp) but i cant find any :( there's plenty of animation/idle marker-mods but none for sound or iam just bad at google.
I found "Singing Settler" which surely is nice little mod to breath in some life but thats about it.

For SS2. Iam pretty sure they make almost everything from scratch
