No modded meshes/textures?
I have been having a huge problem with all of my mods. Any graphical assets in the Data folder won't be referenced. In the game's eyes, they simply don't exist to an extent. Any mods with their own meshes and textures will just be invisible, and any Vanilla replacer mod does nothing. Does anyone know anything about this? (Preferrably how to fix it?)

I would use mod organizer, or make sure to associate nmm with nxm links
"Mod organizer"? nxm links?
I followed the instructions, I had already done it, but I get stuck on the downloading part. I click "Download with Manager", and NOTHING HAPPENS. I already said this. It just won't work. I would prefer to do this without NMM anyway. I am manually putting textures and meshes with the right names into the data folder and nothing happens. I would like someone to actually help me rather than send useless unrelated youtube tutorials.
I click download with manager, a little loading circle appears, and then nothing. NMM just sits there with an empty download manager.
NMM is associated with nxm links, no difference. nothing downloads
Running the manual mod files through NMM does not work either.
It just refuses to pull any meshes or textures from the Data folder...
Validating again....
I don't know what else to do...
I can't find any information on this problem anywhere. It definetly does not seem to be something that happens often....
Reinstallation did not work
14 files failed to validate, it is reaquiring them.

Fallout 4 uses a file called PLUGINS.TXT to know what plugins are activated in your game. Since you stated that you're installing your mods MANUALLY, you're going to have to edit this file as well otherwise your mods will not load. NMM does a fine job doing this so I just can't see why you're not using it. Fans of Mod Organizer claim it's a better manager but from what I've read, it's still going through some issues with FO4.

That being said, your PLUGINS.TXT file should be located at:

.........\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Fallout4

Active mods will have a * in front of the plugin name. When you manually install a mod, you'll have to edit this file to add the * and the plugin filename.

The great majority of NMM problems is due to incorrect installation by the user. Make sure you tell NMM to create it's Virtual Install folder on the SAME drive that has your FO4 game folder.

I've been using NMM since the days of Oblivion and I've had no problems whatsoever. My Fallout 4 game currently has 173 active plugins, and a total of 201 active mods, all being managed by NMM.

I hope some of this actually helps you get your mods going.

I ALREADY DID THAT. The mods that aren't working are ones that are not referenced by plugins.txt! Textures and meshes in the data folder are not being used. The mods work fine, and any mod that uses only vanilla assets has no problems, but when it comes to new meshes and textures, there is the problem.

I tried with no mods at all, just replacement models and textures, and it still does not work. It cannot be connected to mods.
