Modders! Better pipboy?
So the pipboy is a mess.
-The first problem is the size. It doesn't take up the whole screen, which is a waste of space. It gets even worse with higher FOV, because the pipboy gets even smaller. Any fullscreen pipboy mods around? WIth a 90FOV it's only about the quarter of the screen...insanity.
-Sorting. It can take a very long time to scroll down to the bottom of your misc category. I know there are mods like keychain that group up keys, but different subcategories would be even better.
-The map. Oh boy....this one is annoying. I know there are high-res maps, better roads, etc. That's not my problem. Same as mentioned before, it's just too damn small. Just look at the vanila Skyrim map...it's fullscreen. With a map this dense, we need it bigger, with better zoom levels.

My nexus search turned up mostly (except for the ones I mentioned I know about), but maybe it's just well hidden. I'm looking for something like SkyUI is for Skyrim.

Anyone got anything? :)

You can zoom the pipboy in and out by holding right mouse button

he's right...zooming will make the pipboy bigger and will use the entire screen...as for the sorting DefUI should have everything.

Please show me a screenshot or video of the pipboy using the whole screen.

Ah...so it's not fullscreen after all :)

Don't get fooled by the pipboy. Horizontally it's 50% of the screen, vertically about 60-65%. (I'm talking about the actual map part....without all the bells and whistles.)

Mine is a little less, because of the adjusted FOV as I mentioned. :(

well all the fallout games use this same kinda screen, it fits the theme of the game

the only reason skyrim/oblivion were full screen was cause it fits the theme of the game, its suppose to look like a Midevil Times map

If you're looking for a better looking pipboy, grab Kooj's Pipboy Retexture

If you're worried about sorting:

i just started playing this game and have searched around for ideas of how to fix this very same issue, because i'm just as annoyed that there is no mod for this, the game has it's own limited zoom in option that slightly closer, but it's not enough, and you can adjust your FOV setting, but that is annoying in 3rd person when you set it to anything under 90 FOV.

there is no happy medium, it's just annoying solutions all around, there is no full screen mod for this, the only thing you can get is 4k or 8k texture packs that bump the view of your useless arm and pipboy shell, and i find these mods annoying because they don't resolve the issue at hand in any way possible.

my solutions are either set my FOV setting and do this in every playthrough or use the slight zoom in feature or squint at my screen while playing at a normal fov setting, and it's exhausting, especially because the power armor shows this display full screen, but when the damn thing is on your arm, suddenly you don't have this same screen as an option or a mod.

like how is this not a mod, i have seen countless people trying to get a real fix for this, and nothing to show for it, like if you asked me, buthesda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up here for those of us who can't see with perfect 2020 vision.

oh i forgot, the one other option i have is to get myself much closer to my screen, but again this is not realistic or a good option, we just need it to be a full screen option.

In my game I've never had a pip boy that small. What mod is that?
KEEPER Jul 9, 2022 @ 7:12pm
that is the default, and as far as i know the only way of changing it on the spot is to change your FOV to 80, but it gets annoying because when you want to play in 3rd person, the camera is just weird and you have to constantly change it back or just play as is.

there really should be an option to display the pip boy screen only instead of showing your stupid arm and the pip boy itself.

i have been doing a lot of research in other possible fixes for many hours today, and i might have found something, but it's too soon to tell if it will work. if i don't come back, than this means i didn't find the solution.
