Help With Tradecraft?

I didn't figure out that I had to talk to deacon in the part before the switchboard so I used cheats as I didn't know what was going on... Now Desdemona is still in that same position at north church waiting for me to leave and I have no idea where Deacon is... (this isn't my first playthrough wanted to start again with harder difficulty)

Like now that I know I had to talk to him I now have the prototype but cant give it to him and cant get the deliverer

You don't give the prototype to Deacon, you give it to the Doc after speaking to Des.

I'd suggest you use console commands to reset that entire quest and just do it the correctly.

How do I do that? been looking for a command to reset it but none have worked so far

I've never had to do it. In over 300 hours of play I've never had a quest glitch out. But the command should be:

SetStage <QuestID> <Quest stage number>

Where QuestID is RR102 or 0006fa37
and Stage is whatever you want it to be, 150 is Meet Deacon at the old highway.
