How to find your Provisioner? 1 doesn't show up.
Hello everyone.

I don't know on which one but I set 1 Provisioner between Sanctuary and

Hangman's Alley. I waited and did some settlement things, and sometimes sit

in a chair to wait 1 hour, and no Provisioner from Hangman came over.

How do I find back my Provisioner?

Try to sleep 1 hour in Alley, not in Sanctuary

Why do you need to find him? The moment you assigned him to supply lines the link was made.
[press C in pipboy map view to show supply lines].

You can try ringing the settlement bell to attract all settlers then sleep/wait 1h, then all your settlers should be at the bell (I don't know if it works for provisioners too) or you can get a mod for that

Use robots, they do not die, always check supply lines you create on the maps b4 you QT.

Codsworth will never die on suplylines either.

Very very unlikley, over 1000 hours here, and 50 or so supply lines, never saw one die, even when they fight stronger mobs and are outnumbered.

If you come across one in the wilderness, just stand back a while and watch them.

I'm pretty sure Provisoners can't be killed by anything beside you. They're treated just like settlers. The only real way to find a provisoner is to follow the road they most likely will take.

Been away from F04 for awhile (started Witcher 3 finally), but plan to come back in the next few weeks (have about 550 hours on previous characters), so I've missed what the past few patches have done. But previously, I have had supply lines break before, even if it was rare. Does that mean that provisioners can be killed, or could in previous versions? I don't know for certain. But I've checked the map with the "show supply lines", and they were no longer there. This actually only happened twice, and it was at least 4 or 5 patches ago. Never actually saw a provisioner get killed, they collapse like your companion when too wounded to fight, then get back up and move on once the fighting stops.

Like all settlers, they don't always show up on screen, but they exist. Just periodicly check your map for the supply runs to make sure they really do exist.

If it doesn't already exist, maybe a mod could be added to the Vault-Tech terminal to locate Provs, and what their from-to points are.

I feel your pain. Finding a questgiver from one of your settlers who's become a Prov is a royal PITA.

Provisioners that are "wounded" will temporarily "unlink" the settlement that it was supplying, and when you "show supply lines" it will not be shown as linked.

"Wounded" means the provisioner took that damage to make them fall down, but they will get back up again (self heal). Provisioners are always tracked in the world and if you are within range of one it will actively engage enemies nearby and you might not be within "ear shot" to hear the fighting.

Provioners have been know to "unlink" themselves from settlements like Specticle Island, that's because they mostly likely "appeared" under the water and stuck near a pipe (I have seen that many times). Since they are stuck under the water, they take damage and eventually get "wounded", therefore unlinking the supply line. After you fast travel or get far away from the cell, the provisioner will update it's movement progress and subsequently "link" the settlement back again.

My source is the GECK, in the Workshop script when it describes the process for transfering food and water. Fortunately, the status of the provisioner has no bearing on food and water transfer (daily update), however an unlinked settlement won't "link" resources if you are trying to build or craft.

targeting hub on pa in the night helps to find him on his route (living stuff marked red even in far distance), follow him until destinations, give him a new job, problem solved.

That's BS
I saw my provisioner from The Slog constantly get mauled by "Forged" he was downed every few seconds

nothing got unlinked i still had my supply line and could use my crafting / food supplies from other settlements

once you made a supply link
its pernament (unless you reassign the provisioner) and instantly active (provisioner dosent have to reach his destination)
what happens to the provisioner during supply runs is irrelevant

bs, it can happen... it's really very rare and in 1,5k hours it happens only 2 or 3 times to me

maybe a bug, maybe feature, but it can happen...

its a bug not related to the provisioner's state of being
he is just a "decoration" supply line will still be fine regardless of him..
even if he somehow case to exist supply line will still be active with just a bug that will render you unable to change the supply line (it becomes truly pernament)

provisioner getting wounded also has no effect on the supply line or your supplies

check the source script in CK of supply lines and provisioners
wish i still had that link to prove it to you ;/ but very long time ago some guy perfectly explained how supply lines work and provided a screenshot of script it uses and how it works
