Maximum possible int? (Vanilla / All DLC)
Been doing some theory crafting for fun on the maximum possible exp handout in Fallout 4 and I need to figure out the highest possible Int you can have in the game. I made a seperate discussion about perks and items that can affect exp gained from quests just to have both lists kept relatively neat. Feel free to take a look and help out with that one as well.

I've managed to get up to is 78
I achieved it with this setup

Base 12 using the SPECIAL book & bobblehead

Plus 15 from 5 pieces of Unyielding legendary armour (Far Harbour keyword. Must be below 25%hp)

Plus 1 from Vault 88 unique buff (not sure what it's called)

Plus 4 from Inquisitors Cowl (Far Harbour DLC. must have 300+ rads)

Plus 5 from Berry Mentats

Plus 3 from Night Person rank 2

Plus 2 from X-Cell

Plus 36 from Nuka World Zeta Scanner (1 time temporary buff)

If I am missing anything that can be added to this list please let me know! I'm still looking around on my own but I'm getting tired and having trouble focusing so I may have missed something. I don't think you can wear the lab coat under armour or else that's a possible 43 and I don't think you can wear Liam's glasses with the Inquisiors Cowl. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit : Thanks for the contribution! I have now done the math of the maximum possible experience from a single handout. Feel free to take a look, it can be edited later if new information is put forward that there are extra modifiers found that work or modifiers are found to not work together.

The Hubologist quest in Nuka-World can temporarily give you an absurd bonus to Intelligence, but it wears off after one or two in-game days and can only be obtained once. Some people have reported that they ended up with bonuses as high as +36 to their Intelligence after completing the Zeta Scanning process.

Yeah, I have this written down in the brackets above because I wasn't sure what it was called but thank you. I can now move it down to the list and just call it Nuka Zeta Scanner or something unless someone can give me the official name of what it gives you on your perk list :) (I'm guessing it does show up there even if it is temporary like Lover's Embrace or Well Rested do)

The game handles most numeric values as unsigned ints, which can hold values up to 65535.

This is true to player level, and might be true for XP as well.

Edit:
Wait, you are not talking about int, but about INT, or Inteligence, right?

While they can hold values up to that amount I'm looking at what can be obtained without cheating or using the console but with using exploits like the one that allows you to use the SPECIAL book to boost a base stat to 12 even though you shouldn't be able to.

Edit : I was talking about Intelligence lol. I was just using the shorthand

Taking a break to go lay down and take a nap. When I wake up I'll take another look at these threads and hopefully by then all the available information will be on the table. Thanks for the help so far and for the help to come everyone!

I don't think you can wear those with the Inquisitor's Cowl. The Inquisitor's Cowl is a big helmet, like the sack hood or something where it takes your whole head. If I'm wrong though that would be great.

There's also the variable 1-point SPECIAL bonus you can get from Vault 88 equipment; as I recall, the Overseer's terminal is the source for selecting the Intelligence boost.

And that's just a straight boost without needing any gear that stacks with everything? If so that's sweet.

Yes, it seems to be a permanent buff. The only way you normally lose/exchange it is by using a different bit of equipment to change which SPECIAL statistic has the bonus. For example, if you use the slot machine, the Intelligence bonus is replaced by a Luck bonus.

Holla, 78 is not limit for int, it's possible to reach 82 int. Check this video:
