Nuka world raider outpost happiness
So I was wondering why my raider outposts are unhappy. They got pretty much everything to keep them happy from drug machines to traders and booze etc. Then I read somewhere that Raiders hate farming and it so happens that all my raider settlements have atleast 2 guys farming. I also read that the outposts would get food from nearby enslaved settlements. So My question firstly is if things said above are true, and if they are, is it ok to have no planted food in a Raider outpost if there are settlements giving supplies neraby.

Making raiders farm will result in a penalty in happiness, however I heard that you can counter that by adding items that should improve the overall happiness.

Best thing to do would be to make a settlement you don't like fully equiped with max settlers farming food and water and only then you make it a vassal settlement. That way you shouldn't have to order you raiders to go farming and get a decrease.

Also note that robots reduce the overall happiness of a settlement since they're capped at 50 and can't go higher than that.

Well i don't have any robots but my highest happiness in a raider settlement is like 40. I got atleast 2 chem machines in all of them, atleast one of those booze makers with someone attending to it and multiple radios playing nuka world radio. Water is good, enough beds, oh and yeah a few booze, chem, and gear dealers in some of them. And even when the happiness is like 30-40 the arrow indicator shows that happiness is still decreasing :(

Assign them all to guard posts.

If you've done the vault workshop dlc you should also be able to stick slot machines in your settlements.

Yeah what I ended up doing was that I disposed every planted food on all my raider settlements and enslaved a couple more settlements. So now I have 8 raider outposts and 5 enslaved settlements. Only one of my raider outposts is complaining about food according to the workshop list but their happiness still rose to 70. I guess that there just ain't a supplying settlement near enough. The guard post thing is something I have done before this dlc just because I don't like settlers just standing around looking stupid when they pack up in a small room doing nothing. :D Haven't started the vault workshop dlc yet, after I read about it I was not really interested but I have the season pass so yeah. Atleast now the happiness seems to be not a problem :D

You can place a million pick-me-up (drug) stations to get happiness up... or slot machines.
But yeah, each food your raider settlement produces is -3 happiness.

I made a 56 settler farm (300 food + 6 shops) to enslave so 1 settlement could feed all my raider camps.

Sounds pretty handy. Do you need to have all that food attended in the settlement or is it enought that you would for example have 300 mutfruit plants in the settlement :D

EDIT: Well I guess it was a stupid question since you said it was a 56 settler farm so they probably did the farming.

:DD It would be cool if you could just blow some whiny little ♥♥♥♥♥'s head off for complaining about beds or something and it would be considered as an act of discipline :D

well, you kind of can do that with the wasteland workshop DLC. build an arena and assign the complaining settlers to the arena. give him/her crappy armor/weapon and let them fight a creature, another settler with strong armor/weapon (or a strong automatron - with the downside that the robot also will decrease the happiness). :)

you can even make it more entertaining. have you ever wondered if grognak or silver shroud is the 'better superhero'? or if the mechanist can fight robots? just give your arena fighters those outfits (and weapons) and let them fight. :)
