How to play a raider?
After my one attempt to make a raider playthrough was aborted in the low teens, several friends have been talking about how much fun their raider playthroughs have been, but something still confuses me.

How on earth do you play a raider? The reason my save was stopped was because I couldn't find any way to level that didn't involve going around being a good sumaritain, and helping people with their menial tasks in the form of quests. All the quests in this game seem to be outright good, rarely grey, and never evil.

Purchase and install Nuka-World, then in game travel to nuka world transit station, south of sactuary, past the map border.

The first Fudgemuppet raider build is a good guide. Hard to actually play an evil type raider until you get to Nuka World. More a morally questionable raider. I played that raider build until about level 55 or so, still had to do a lot of good thingd just to level up.

The very first raider build, the one not related to Nuka World. I think it's called 'The Raider-best melee build'.

Problem with that is you have to be level 30 for the quest to trigger. You CAN go there sooner, but it would be suicide to go before you're a decent level, as the enemies would be too strong. I'm currently trying to figure out the same thing as the OP. How to level up high enough to tackle Nuka World when I'm avoiding almost everything to do with the main questline and the faction quests. I helped Danse at the police station and at Arc Jet, but my character isn't willing to trust people enough to join them any time soon, so can't do Brotherhood stuff. She wouldn't trust the Railroad right away, either, so they're out, and the Minutement are being put off until I complete Nuka World.
