What is the best all-around legendary laser(or institute) rifle/pistol?

Lately I've been farming and looking into laser weapons and I already have a few rather strong weapons. I already have a two shot laser musket, which I really love for sniping and a two-shot auto laser rifle that I modded with the strongest automatic mod, but it's only practical for short-range combat, because the recoil is annoying. Besides I have a trusty legendary combat shotgun for those situations.

So which laser weapon do you reccommend? Oh and my character is not a VATS or heavy weapons build, so you can rule out VATS weapons(like the Righteous Authority laser rifle) and gatling lasers.

It's a shame you won't use VATS as lasers excel in VATS it's what they're best at. Neverending would have to be best choice like previously said for max dps. Righteous Authority is a beast with a VATS build it has to be said.

for fps mode:

Prototype UP77 "Limitless Potential", Wazer Wifle, "Never Ending" Legendary

my personal favourite, you can mod full damage without being worried about the small magazine (12 shots with full dmg mods ?) no more reloading and fast as your trigger finger...

Rapid <--- 25% faster fire rate, 15% faster reload.


vats mode

Snipermode: Old Faithful <--- Does double damage if the target is at full health.

Overall: Righteous Authority <--- Critical shots do double damage and the critical meter fills 15% faster.


fps & vats:

Two Shot <--- Fires an additional projectile.

Mostly the overall best Legendary Effect for any Ranged Weapon.

Some good but no laser
- Staggering/Crippling flamer (Dont upgrade damage because it will ruin range)
- Wounding stacks and even robots will bleed :)
