I don't think it would be a good idea firing several hundred mininukes at once and watching the resulting explosions. To many shots would probably cause the game to crash.
I used the MIRV on F3 to fire off of Tenpenny tower but that wasn't many shots at a time; less then 10 shots each and i didn't crash, or at least i'm sure that i didn't.

I made a "Big Boy" and did god mode just to mess around. I walked around Far Harbor and would lob 20+ mini nukes at raider camps (or any target I saw) and my game never crashed. I had a nice white screen for a few seconds though.

How I did it was launched them almost straight up and the bombs would rain from the sky. Looked really cool.

I did pretty much that with F3 like i said above. It looks really cool when you do it, especially on F3 with the explosion effects they had. You really needed godmode for that or you would just run out of ammo in 2 shots. Tenpenny is great for the height that it has as you can still see the explosions from the height you are at as you aren't to low or to high to not see them.

I have only played Fo3 on Xbox 360. I haven't put much time into the PC one. (I think megaton is the farthest I've made it?)

I'm sure it would also look cool removing all of the ghouls with big booms (that somehow never hurt the building). And yea, the ammo is way to rare to have to much fun with it.

Edit: Now that I think about it, I would love for there to be a way to make the Mirv shot fly forward. Like aiming straight up will cause them to seperate and fly in front of the PC.

Full list of items with that keyword (that are in the random legendary loot table):
Harpoon Gun, Missile Launcher, Laser Musket, Double-Barrel Shotgun, Fatman
Additionally Gatling Laser is excluded from having neverending for random drops, but there is a pre-set one in Nuka World.
I've personlly got never-ending 10 mm pistols (one of which I remember offhand because I named it the "Lead Mile"), .44 pistols, combat rifles, and combat shotguns without using any mods whatsoever, and that's just from my legendary stash with one character.

I think you're either looking at a single loot list of many, or there are other criteria that include more weapons.

Note how all the weapons you list I didn't? I listed weapons that can NOT get that mod.

(You can use console commands to create them though.)

Ah, right, I misread what you were saying. That does make more sense.

Megaton is literally 1 minute away once you leave the vault.

Couldn't ask for a better gun :D
Instigating Fat Man, or Nuka-Nuke for EXTREME OVERPOWEREDNESS! The damage will literally be OVER 9000!

I;ve been really like having a Freezing Radium Rifle and a Freezing 10mm pistol. Very efficient.

I had to put away my Explosive Minigun because it broke the game.

I could kill a Mythic Deathclaw in about...well a half second I think. It went by so fast I couldn't tell.

People say the game will end up really bullet-spongey when enemies are high level since some enemies level up with you. But honestly, the enemies are going to need literally 10,000+ HP to withstand an explosive minigun.

I named my minigun 'Sweetness' if anyone is wondering.

If you have a lucky fat man or missile launcher and put a lot of points into criticals, you can chain togeather critical hits that will do more than that.
they will also always hit and with grim reaper sprint you can keep firing instakill missiles/nukes that always hit unless blocked

I got one to and it is literally broken. It just instakills everything regardless of health and/or level.

That includes you if you are not careful.

After all this talk about best Legendary mods for the Harpoon gun, I actually had an Instigating Harpoon gun drop in Nuka World, ironically enough...
