Vault 88 Missing Interior Textures RESOLVED
In true Fallout 4 fashion, I fix one mod problem and another one arises. This time, the interior cell of Vault 88 does not load at all. It's just an endless white void. I have encountered this problem before with Railroad HQ and The Castle Tunnels not loading and was able to isolate the problem with those two locations to a mod which altered the interior cell (Elianora's Player Faction Housing Mod). However, I have very few mods that actually change Vault 88 and none which actively alters the cell layout in any way, shape, or form. The most I have pertaining to that location are mods which add new items to the workshop and they are mods with which I have had no previous issue running with the Vault-Tect DLC before.

My next step is to verify the game cache although I'm pessimistic that that will actually accomplish anything (of all the Fallout 4 issues I've had, verifying the cache has NEVER fixed anything). Barring that, I'm going to attempt to examine, disable, and re-enable my mods 1-by-1 though I would rather not do that as I have many and that would waste so much time. Beyond that, I don't know what to do. Restarting my playthrough is not an option; I'm 70+ hours into the game currently and I will not flush all that time and effort down the toilet. If all my efforts to fix this glitch fail, I'll probably just quit and go play something else. But I really don't want to because I've been looking forward to building my Vault 88 so needless to say, I'm desperate for a fix.

So has anyone else encountered this error? How did you fix it? Does anyone know of any particular mod that might cause such an error?

Currently verifying the game cache so don't answer with that. Will update if that works. Restarting not and option. Disabling all mods is not an option (I mean it kind of defeats the purpose of doing a modded playthrough of the game if you're just going to end up getting rid of all mods.

UPDATE: The issue is confirmed to be with Scrap Everything. The latest update for F4 seems to have broken that mod. Those with Scrap Everything should either disable the mod temporarily, try rolling back to an earlier version, or do something else in the game until the mod author's come out with a fix.

Thanks so much for posting this solution; just ran into the same problem and disabled Scrap Everything. You probably saved me tons of time and heart ache.

Thanks. Helped for me.

I have the same issue, disable Scrap Everything, fast traveled to the vault and it still has invisible walls with the void visible. Anyone have any other suggestions or am i screwed?

EDIT: I have removed the mod instead of just disabling it and it seems to be back to normal. Now i wonder if there's a way to install it again without it bugging out.

Lil bit of a necro- but I'm having this issue now, and lo and behold, I have Scrap Everything installed. Was wondering if anyone had found a fix yet. I checked the Nexus and it seems like this is still an issue and wasn't fixed by the mod author.

I have this problem with vault 88, and I use Scrap Everything ultimate edition, but disabling it doesn't fix it. Also tried disabling ALL mods, made no difference. Same with verifying local files and varying graphical options. I have not encountered this bug elsewhere, and not using Elianoras mod mentioned above. Are you sure Scrap Everything is the cause?

The bug seems to be that all floors, walls and ceilings are half missing. I found I could target enemies in vats through where the floor should be, but the shots hit the invisible floor anyway. Furniture etc. works as normal.

UPDATE: fixed it :D I reinstalled Scrap Everything ultimate edition, choosing core and all dlc-support in one, and the all three options on the next page: sprint fix and the other two. There was some debate in the posts of the mod on nexus about this, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

FYI, I reinstalled Scrap Everything with the most recent build. I only had to tick the all-in-one on the first page. I left everything on the second blank. Causes too much lag if you don't uncheck the additional scrapping and it appears unnecessary.

For anyone reading this after some extensive research I found out that the mod known as : " Interiors Enhanced - Darker Ambient Light and Fog - Interiors Enhanced 2.0 - ALL IN ONE " also causes Vault 88 to have this missing texture glitch

I seem to be having the same issue with my vault 88 textures/meshes being gone and the white void of doom being present eternally. This is my load order. I seriously don't know what the hell is causing it:

Sorry about jacking your thread, man. But, this is getting to be ridiculous.

@The Archangel Zarael You might want to check and see if " AA FusionCityRising.esp " is the problem I myself have had issues because of that mod!

I've been dealing with missing textures ever since the game was released. I don't think you can truly get away from it if you mod the game enough. Fallout 4 is a weird game to mod.

Okey doke...Gonna try to disable it now....

@The Archangel Zarael Yeah I would at least try that and If i'm wrong no big you can always reactivate it d};-))

Old PC trick.... Rename your game folders, reinstall, rename the new untouched folders. You now have an archive of both pure, and 'tainted' files.

Now it's time to play Dr.Frankenstein and figure what files you want to either replace, or modify.

I keep a virgin archive of all data I choose to modify. HD space be damned.

It wasn't Fusion City...Ugh.
ModderMatt30 Dec 29, 2017 @ 10:19am
@The Archangel Zarael the one and only way to find your problem is to deactivate & reactivate each mod one by one until you find the mod that is conflicting sorry but that is the hard core truth of it! Or you can always start fresh with no mods at all and add each mod one by one and see which one is conflicting that way! It sucks I know I have been through each process I just mentioned

A better way to sort mods is to do the halves trick IMO. Take half of your mods, and disable them. If the game works, then you know it was one of the mods in the half group you disabled. If it didn't work, then you know it was the other half. Whichever half it was, disable half of those and enable the other half. Analyze and repeat. Saves you a TON of time.
