Can't find previous power armor

I haven't played in months so now I don't remember where I left my upgraded power armor. I heard there should be an icon somewhere on the map, but I don't see it anywhere. I combed through the world map three times but there's no helmet icon.

EDIT: For future reference, I've only used one power armor. I'm not looking for a needle in a haystack, there just isn't a power suit icon on my map.

The icon always displays your LAST used power armor.

This is why you should always stack your unused power armors or write up somewhere where youre going to leave one.

I'm aware. But I've only used one suit. I never collected other ones because I never needed more than one. So there shoudl be an icon SOMEWHERE on my map, but there isn't.

I misplaced one and it drove me nuts because I thought somebody had stolen it. Finally found it by reloading old saves.

Did you leave it somewhere with the fusion core in it? It may have been stolen.

You're kidding me... That can happen? For ♥♥♥♥ sake, I'd lose so much progress if I reloaded...

♥♥♥♥ it, I'll have to find another. Recommendation on where to find a decent power armor? I just need to go back down to the southwest for a Railroad mission, need to resist some rads.

at the training grounds are several containers stashed together, in one i found in every game a complete MK3 X-01 Armor

If you havent read the hints, yeah. If you dont leave the power armor down on your settlement (Preferably on a power armor station locked) it gets stolen.

If the fusion core is left in the armor, traders (like Trashcan Carla) may hop in it and take off. If the settlement is attacked one of the settlers will get in it until the fight is over then will get out of it.

There are several in the southwest area of the map that may or may not be complete. I can give some suggestions if you want the spoilers, but if you explore some you should find one pretty easily.

DarylLicht: They'll even do that if you left the core in the workshop. LOL. I had just finished one of those runon firefights at The Slog, and I watched a group of minutemen sauntering by... in two of my suits.

Yeah, I don't leave fusion cores in the workshop. I also lock the buildings that I store armor and weapons in to keep them out of it.

I kind of hoard power armor. I have a building with around 60 stolen frames in it.

Well... there's some Mods that I don't know the names of. You can use the console on PC. Or you can build the powered doors and a power switch to open and close them with I think Wasteland Workshop's DLC.

Build power armour station INSIDE home plate (a house you can own without any settlers and traders) in diamond city. You can buy it for 2000 caps from the receptionist at the mayors office.

Howerer you can not connect it to a supply line so you have to cary all craft materials there by yourself.

Vetis, what platform are you on? If you're on PC you can lock the doors with a console command.

Never, EVER leave a fusion core in your PA.
ALWAYS remove the core as soon as you exit.
