Dumb Example: If you knew both Concord and Sanctuary but not Red Rocket. You could have the bird pick you up in Concord tell them to take you to Sanctuary and then tell them to land when you were over Red Rocket.
technically, you could line yourself up with an undiscovered location and checker-jump your way between multiple locations, assuming you have them.
Well I was unsure about my description and was going to use an actual one that I had done. It was setting my destination for Virgil's Cave and then jumpinig out at a spot where you are supposed to meet a BOS scribe. But I couldn't remember the names of the destination, quest or scribe and if you haven't done the quest you'd probably not know what I was talking about. So, I picked a "dumb" example that anyone that has played the game even a little should get.
