killing raider/gunner causes CTD
after some levels up to about 150 i noticed that killing gunners or raiders causes a CTD. I was wondering if there are any ways to decrease my level? or a fix for this for high level players?

kind of wish there was a level cap :S would save people from this since raiders make up a very large amount of enemies.

CTD = crash to desktop, basiacly game closes due to error/bug

high level problem should not be a problem as it is designed to level way up into the thousands
my only surggestion is posible mods that effects human enermies (since gunners/raiders)

if no mods i can only suggest verifying game cache to see if thers no corrupt/missing files

My char is L194 currently and the only time something like this happened to me was when those NPC either raised or dropped a modded weapon that was buggy.
Since the weapon mod got fixed, never had this issue again.

Edit:
Forgot another one... if using "modern firearms", put it on the very bottom of your load order. Fixed a quite similar issue for me.

Nope, no interest in this DLC.

is it possible for it to happen with armor? but that wouldnt make since.

i did some testing and the CTD chance is about 50% on killing of the 2 types.
weapons was not the cause as i disabled all weapon mods.
Testing possible armor but i feel to doubt it.

my other guess is maybe something with their death animation? bad texture? bad mesh? might thos be the cause?

Maybe.
Armour is less likely... it's already visible before the kill.

i will do some testing with a wide range of factors or what i can.

so far the kill command works fine (no crash)
useing a grenade seems to work better then weapons or atleast rare CTD and uncommon freeze.

a alternative is get a mod that spawns alot of enemies and set it to wipe out the raiders and gunner and i pick them off. it may work.
