Do you mean the Nuka stations?
They are under workbenches
there is no workshop in nuka world apart from the red rocket settlement.
Not the Nuka stations. like in sancuary hills theres a red work bench that when stuff is put in them all the other stations like cooking armor, weapons, chemistry have access to the mats. Does Nuka World work the same way?

Nuka world itself isn't a settlement, more of a town

But doesnt a player have to attack their own settlements to use it? Or wipe out Nuka World? If I understand correctly thats the only way to use it? Why did they make it that way? Also why are some of the raider areas more like super mutant areas?

The gangs in New Vegas were not like super mutants. Why are they like that in Nuka World?

I really dont get why they base a DLC on a player attacking his own settlements.

You have to turn the power on to use the workbench in that RR NE of NW. I dont think you have to attack it though. Nobody lives there.
Do you mean the Red Rocket junkyard? But its in the south west area of Nuka world.

No, there's an actual Red Rocket station to the east of Kiddie Land.

First things first. You don't have to side with anyone.
All you have to do is talk to Gage after the fight. He will give you access to an apartment that has a power armor station in it, store your stuff in there.
If you want to take over an abandoned Red Rocket gas station, head east out of the park and follow the road north. You will find it. It will tell you that the workshop can't be accessed until the power is turned on.
Just use the apartment to store your stuff. Keep clearing the parks of enemies but don't give them to any faction. Once they are all cleared out, and you've exhausted all the other possible quests, make a decision. Side with one of the factions, or side with the slaves.
If you side with the slaves you can turn the power back on as soon as you kill all the raider bosses. Once you turn it back on, you can move all your stuff to the Red Rocket workbench and start building.
Many thanks, I thought you meant turn power on just to the Red Rocket not the whole Nuka World. I guess its a spoiler but when can you trun all the power on? Im guessing that turning the power on is near the last thing to do in nuka world.

You don't get it. The workshop/work bench like you have in settlements allow you to store junk, which you use to repair power armor. The place that Gage gives you as a temporary home in Nuka World doesn't have one of those. So even though there's a power armor station to repair and modify your gear, you can't easily retrieve and store a huge bundle of junk to repair or modify your power armor. I'm on my first playthrough right now and I need one of those workshops so I could easily repair and modify my power armor.
There used to be a vault between the roller coaster ( back of the place where you find Cito ) and a dam (?) wall , close to or the Nuka-World border . To operate the workbench there you had either repair or turn on the generator and water purifier . I haven't found this vault in the couple of play thru's so i'm wondering if this vault's being dropped from the game .

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but you can store whatever you want in the PA station, to make repairs and/or improvements to your PA. Also there are more workstations just inside that door to the left of the PA station. They don't connect to the PA station though.
