Get far enough into the story to where you're able to capture Raider Outposts, it's pretty straightforward

Or if you killed the raider bosses, attempt to activate a ride

I think he's having a problem with the quest triggering, like myself. I've finished "Home Sweet Home" and nothing appears afterwards.
I've looked everywhere for a solution and even used console commands to start it and it won't work.

Edit: I've also talked to Shank and he says nothing else, just the option of doing more jobs. I've already taken 3 settlements and completed the quest.

I believe you get the quest after getting 3 outpost. You should go to see shank and there should be some kind of event going on.

I am having the same problem as Unuunilium, i have completed home sweet home, but yet power play will not start for me. i am not using any cheats or any mods. i have tried talking to shank straight away, waiting for days and days, leaving the area and coming back, sending him to diffrent outposts, tried console commands but yet nothing works, its like the quest is not even in Nukaworld for me

Try checking your misc quest section that was where it was for me, also it will not auto show as an active quest depending on how many quest you have.

Though what I did was do one mission for each of the factions, they switched to the kill em all option, though I had tried to activate severeal rides in different zones before that.

I have done, there is no quest for shank in the misc. i have also been trying to activate rides around the park, still have not shown the quest. i just also killed all the gang leaders and freed the slaves, then activated a ride, still no power, still no quest. again, its like the quest is not even in my nukaworld ESP file, its what it feels like, seeing i cant even activate it with console commands, i am going to reinstall the game and see if that fixes the problem

Same issue. Quest won't start. No Shank dialog. No console commands alleviate this. Get the stage of the quest and it comes back 0. Setting it forward from 0 doesn't produce an error, but using 'getstage' again just reveals it to be 0. No idea why. There is NO solution for this that I have been able to figure out and I've been trying for two days.

You can get to all the un-powered places in Nuka World with no-clipping mode, if needed - but what burns me is that it's IMPOSSIBLE to use the Nuka World Red Rocket workshop without the damn power being on!

Same here, its why i want to get the power back on, so i can get the redrocket and get the achievements for completing the DLC. but just to let people know uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game does not work. i even just tried diffrent methords to take over the settlement and even diffrent settlements, but still the quest is not working. i have tried every possible solution, the only one i have not tested so far is to start a new game, which is something i am not willing to do considering how long that would take all for just a maybe it will work.

Kill practically any raider at any time in Nuka-World. That also triggers it.

Seems to be fixed for me.

Here's what changed (not sure which one actually fixed it):

1) New patch today, supposedly to fix the monorail issues
2) Because of new patch, my version of F4SE wouldn't load (need to wait for the update), so I had to load the game without it.

Following this, I gave "SetStage 06000805 5" just one more try in the console. IT WORKED! Got to finish the quest. Wish I had more solid things to go on than that, but alas. Good luck.

Wow really? Did you set back to a save before Completing The previous quest Home Sweet Home? Or did you just load the latest save and use the set stage command to activate it.

If you killed the raider bosses, and want to turn the power back on in the park, you need to talk to the doctor character in the market, she will start the quest for you. She is also the same one that suggests killing the raiders instead of siding with them.

Well this is strange. When I first went to nuka world and beat the overboss, as soon as gauge let me in, I killed him, then headed to the red rocket, killing stuff in my way, but not the bosses, I was able to use the workbench right there and then. Didn't talk to anyone. Now my 2nd trip, I am currently up to clearing zones, I went to the power plant, door is locked. So am currently clearing galactic zone. Just annoying that I could build at the red rocket fine by killing gauge, but can't yet by doing it "properly". Should be able to restore power, or even not need power, to use the red rocket as inventory management at fizztop blows.
