Accidentally shooting an NPC due to furiously clicking dialogue options

Has happened to me more times than I'd like to admit

It hasn't happened to me, but I seldomly skip it. Gertting shot whilst engaging in dialogue on the other hand, yep.

Not in this game (though I'm sure I've done it in one of my many runs tbh) the one TRULY MEMORABLE incident was in Fallout 3.

I was leading up to talking to 3Dog.

I love 3dog! He's my favorite! (he's also Aaravos in dragon prince and I cannot possibly pry them apart now in my brain)

So I go to talk with him and FOR SOME STUPID REASON my finger twitches and I unload my DAMN SHOTGUN and HE IS PASTE. T___T

I was laughing SO hard but also yelling how sorry I was until I finally reloaded the game lol.

The way I'm trained to avoid this is by right-clicking to aim my gun every time dialogue initiates. If I end up aiming then I know not to spam click since I'll accidentally shoot haha

because of that i use the down arrow to skip dialogues so this can not happen.

Yes frustating thing it is...

You click, npc decides to step 1mm to the left, dialog dissapears and pang insta kill lol. Reload and then same thing happends again, i thought wtf lol stand still if i'm talking to you!

Holstering the weapon is actually a good idea, if you don't forget to do it haha.

It's fun if you have fatman equipped.... lol
