Is there a mod that makes fast travel faster? (Meaning less hours pass when i fast travel)
So i just runned all the way from sanctuary hills to hangman's alley, it tok around 2 ingame hours. The same route by fast travel takes whooping 7 HOURS!!! Is there a mod that makes it les INSANE??? I don't use fast travel on principle, but with all those damn attacks on settlements i would use it on those instances, but not when a 2 hour trip turns into a 7 hour walk apparently. It might not matter to you, it does matter to me, so don't judge.

Fast travel is meant to take longer because you are avoiding encounters.

However I do understand your point because each game day like 75 minutes.
I can run there manually within 5 minutes.
If I fast travel then I lose almost an entire day.

Which the time passage matters during certain quests that have daily settlement attacks for Automatron and Sim Settlements 2 Chapter 2.

Use the Mark & Recall mod, time does not appear to advance, plus its great if you are in a long quest and need to unload items and then return to where you were. This is one of my favorite mods to use.

Yea i don't want that either because it's soo tempting for abuse like that. I want the fast travel to take about same time as actually running there. I even scavanged few places and had few minor fights on the way to sanctuary so wasn't exactly running for my life.

Wait, how does that make sense lol? You mean like going around every enemy? Taking extra road? I had a few fights on the way and even scavenged some, so i would say it took as much atime as avoiding them. But 7 and a half freaking hours??? Nah...

Is that fast enough
No, that's too fast ;) I would tempt me to use it when overloaded and stuff like that. What I'm looking for is common sense fast travel.

Interestingly enough, it seems that you are right in this particular case. I wanted to scold upon at first, but bothered to check, as should be done. At least Google tells us that simple foot walk this route would take bit more than 1h.
The problem with game is that time scaled, territory scaled and noone sane toggles walk while travelling.
I can see how problematic it is for devs to make anything realistic of it.

Play survival and have no trouble with fast travel ever.
That's a joke of course, but with only part of a joke.

It's got a version without the timescale change Timescale bit doesn't work, see post further down for a working alternative.

I practically never use fast travel. Only when I'm at the place i want to fast travel to try to reset it, or something, or im in that place and cant find the companion or whatever, you caltch my drift. But those damn settlements attacks... I would be using "fast" travel for those as a madman. While i enjoy walking everywhere on my own i do not enjoy walking from the opposite part of the map to save a settlement that should be perfectly capable of defending emselves on their own.

It's got a version without the timescale change, doublecheck in the files section which one you want.
Woah, gonna look into that after work asap!

Whoops sry, I misread your initial post as bunker hill to hangman alley. =))
From Concord to CIT it shows 5,5h approximately. In this case 7h fast travel time from Sanctuary to Hangman's Alley is totally justified.

Join BoS, Railroad or Institute then. Former two provide vertibird travel, latter - instant teleportation.
If you prefer to kill everyone, you chose the oldfashioned way yourself. Even then you can boost agility and endurance for near to infinite sprint and be able to cross the whole map in minutes at most.
Mods are great and all, just be careful, so you won't return with broken game issue or smth.

just play survival mode and you have no problems with the fast travel time because: there is no fast travel.
Death Approaches Oct 21, 2022 @ 12:01pm
so messing with time is fun; you can speed it up to like 240 and watch the day/night cycle like once per second and the weather/storm systems happen in seconds... don't do it on an old machine it'll cry in pain and try to kill itself but it's disco fun on a modern machine.

you can easily issue a 'sgtm 0' then fast travel to where you want to go, and issue a 'sgtm 1.0' to restart the flow of time. You are GOD afterall.

Interesting, didn't knew this command. I'll check it in a sec.
