Splatter Cannon / Problem Solver: Where they a mistake?
Right. So if you own the Nuka World DLC then chances are that you either know of or have the Splatter Cannon (bought) or Problem Solver (figure it out). These two guns are amazingly good, never not an option to deal with any enemy, but are they moraly/gameplay ruining? Admit it, after getting either of these and modding accordingly the game got A LOT easier, things die by the dozen. The problem isn't the legendary effect, in my opinion, its that they dont require farming. yes, Splatter is VERY expensive and Problem Solver can be easily missed, but that doesn't take away from the fact that they are worlds easier to obtain than that elusive two shout gauss or explosive shotgun. Your opinions?

So you would agree with power armor makes the game too easy? A weapon is a weapon. You could mod the game and try survival if it feels too easy fo you. Sure, they are pretty good. The 2 shot Guass is super super extremely rare. I have my game unleveled so Explosive shotguns are extremely common. I really just use a huge amount of weapon mods installed like Modern Firearms. Guns are suppose to kill people easily. You get shot in the head, supposed to be Instant kill. Each caliber does a different amount of damage to a human body, a 9MM round will just hurt and a .50 will rip your body apart. Really, ledgendarys are way too easy to find so I have a mod that puts ledgendary spawn to .3% chance. These are just my opinion. Gun's are suppose to hurt a lot. I hate the other difficulty's other than Survival. You can be naked and get about 500 5MM rounds in your belly from a minigun and it tickles your health bar.

well yes. power armour is very powerful, but it has trade offs or down sides: Repairs, loss of stealth and fusion cores. But, you do make a good point there. Minigun weak af

Yeah, increasing the overall damage of all weapons and modded weapons helps. No more bulelt sponges. A nuke from the Fat man should be an Instant kill, but it's not. It tickles most enemies. Power armor has alwasy been very powerful since Fallout 1. That's the whole point. I have a combat shotgun and it can't even kill someone with a headshot? Weapons are supposed to be deadly, you could make power armor incredibly powerful but durablity is super weak.

Well, they're automatics so the chew through ammo fairly quickly, but really they're only two useful automatics in the game.

Every other gun in the game deals much more damage when switched to semi-auto that it cuts the ammo needed to kill nearly in half. Plus, when you upgrade Riflemen, your semi-auto weapons start ignoring armor, where upgrading Commando just gets you increased hip-fire accuracy.

Bethesda should've increased recoil, lowered accuracy, as well as a slight damage decrease, rather than a drastic damage decrease.
Even heavy automatic weapons are outclassed (minigun anyone?)

well looking at relativly low damage that guns do, its probably for game play purposes like if everything died near instantly then where is the fun?

That is fun, Shooting a missle should not do the same damage as a grenade. Punching someone should really hurt. Guns hurt, that's the point. There is no reason for auto and semi perks. It's b*llocks. You should be able to switch that on a gun at any time with no damege penalty or increase. A .38 round in the stomach should hurt and a few .38's in the stomach is reason for death. Look at the assualt rifle or really machine gun. It's 5.56x45MM. That round really hurts. It should not take about 1/20 of someone's health, more about 1/5 or 1/3 of a human. Humans are naturally weak with no armor. We are a body of flesh. Robots are metal. mutated animals have natural armor and thick skin and are tough. Super Mutants are the same as us. Big, made of flesh. The huge muscles underneath should give a little amount of protection.
