With mods, sure. If you mean the dead one. And if you mean yourself, maybe, bur it would not make any sense. You are the "backup plan" after all.

I like to believe this as well. DiMA even asks you this in Far Harbor.

The argument is as stupid as ever - how can you be sure?

If you kill her she doesn't have any synth components so no.

Edit: Thought you were talking about the girl you have to save in Far Harbor

i don't think you are a synth or els the at the destroy institue i am sure they would recall code your ass plus the fact that the robot from the u.s.s shipwreck recognizes you from his data banks and the facts that you remember stuff from the past when encountered i thin the sole survivor has some trauma of his whole world ending + losing his waifu and son ending up is a strange place and don't forget there is also possible chance of the vault cryo also damaging his memories (brains)

It's possible that the universe was created last Thursday (complete with fake memories and photons created with position/velocity consistent with a much older universe), but I don't think that people will line up to convert to Last Thursdayism simply because it's not impossible.

Ah, but the player is secretly a gen N+1 synth created by the secret organization behind the Institute, who set events in motion to see what was going to happen when you place their secret protype synth in a position of power. They obviously hacked the robots to convince the player that they are not a synth and the Institute is just an expendable setpiece.

That argument doesn't work. We, the player, never experience anything before the day the bombs fell (unlike Fallout 3 - I actually think that this is a rather clever injoke btw) and did not merely forget about it.

i actually watched a documentary about "thursdayism" yesterday. the worlds top mathematicians proved that were all in an artificial matrix style dream. i didnt understand a word or number of it but it sounded convincing.
thankfully the next video was worlds wildest cat fails and my brain went back to sleep.

no, nate and nora can not be synths.
mfree Oct 12, 2016 @ 1:12pm
No, it's not possible. Many valid reasons are stated above and evidence stands for other reasons not stated, which will not be repeated here (go search if you want the rest).

Bethesda tried to leave a hint in there that the player is though... ... ...you get the VATS tutorial before getting a pip-boy, and a terminal in the institure mentions a prototype combat interface for gen 4 synths that duplicates VATS... ... ...problem is, every single fallout protagonist has had this power (except the ones in Fallout:BoS for Xbox), and the first two predate even gen1 synths.
basically...yet another instance of Bethesda's inabiliy to keep straight lore...but it's not as bad as their deciding ever single ending of Daggerfall is simultaneously true...even the contradictory ones.

You take Radiation damage. That automatically confirms you are not a Synth.
