It´s WRONG! Westworld based on Fallout 4 is correct!
Some Guy thinks FO 4 is based on Westworld!
THATS WRONG!
Westworld is based on FALLOUT 4, cause Fallout 4 was First OUT and not Westworld!
The Pose from the Synths in the Institute when they get created, similiar you find in Westworld. Hollywood stole the Idea of Fallout 4, that is the Truth!

While the setting can be interesting and well done and mysterious, its actually low budget film making at the heart of it.

Humanity self heals, self diagnoses, outlasts any machine 10x and countless other things, dont believe none sense about the ai which is simple bots programmed by people or the rest of the nonsense.

The Mass Effect space gates video game series is much more interesting and would be WAY higher budget, and hopefully Starfield is even better.

But but but they can program a computer that can sound like or mimic a human. So what thousand years ago they did near perfect replicas of humans in stone, which was WAY WAY WAY more impressive in every way, who cares about computer can mimic humans or not unless its some scam for money or something.

The TV series is based on the 1973 movie Westworld.
1973 came before 2015.

Like the above said.

The Westworld Mobile title, however was legally proven to be a rip off of Fallout Shelter, so that might be what you were thinking of.

The people who made Westworld for HBO freely talk about how much they loved Fallout 4 so yes, the show is definitely in no uncertain terms based on (visually and many other ways) Fallout 4.

The movie duh dude it was in the freaking 70s they're not talking about the original. Which is also brilliant. Its sequel ... not at all so much but I do love what the show's been doing with even that garbage of a movie and its ill-fated original show :D

(In fact I've got a setting that is going to be accepting Hosts into memory lounger-based synth training... >_> for dragon riding later. i need new hobbies I've been mixing and matching everything like for so long it all always comes down to 'can a Host bond a dragon' ...)

2015? Fallout 4 came out November 2016!, i must know it, cause i buyed the Season Pass, when it came out!
Btw Flippy, cause you say who cares about AI, the whole Planet does, look only the newest AI Android Human, he will be the first Selfaware and learns already faster than every Human with the highest IQ on the Planet!
Read that, its from a REAL REPORT--->

Meet Ameca, the remarkable (and not at all creepy) human-like robot. Robot engineers at Cornwall-based Engineered Arts have unveiled a remarkably human-like android, named “Ameca.”3 Dec 2021

So i dont think, this is Nonsense, the AI is finished!

My friend actually built a real ai, so yes they are a thing and they will certainly be facing an uphill battle of acceptance.

which is literally the plot of both Fallout 4 and Westworld.

Btw the old Future World Movie was a boring Nonsens, sorry Westworld is more Action and has something of Everything, Love, Romance, etc
Zekiran Aug 7, 2022 @ 7:54pm
Yeah Future World was so pathetic. But they did use bits of it in the new show and they actually made it WORK.

for the record Westworld *TERRIFIED* me, but I still love it to death. It instilled a deep fear of human-looking replacement robots... along with the book I got right around the same time, The Art Of Disney - the extended version that showed the bear jamboree being assembled and jesus that was ... that made a really bad impression on my 7 year old brain :D

10 November 2015 was the release date.

The Westworld TV series "creators" are making a Fallout 4 TV series for Amazon. It has PA so it is probably aimed at young teens.

As for AI, DiMA is an example of what can happen if the AI doesn't have ALL the data. (It never can.) It makes mistakes, so about as useful as a politician. I hope it won't be shot with a fisheye lens to replicate the weird projection math the game uses.

Maybe in Dima's mind. I would go for A Boy and His Dog from 1975.

Oh, really? Who is this friend so I can look up their studies and progress? I want to see verified, peer-reviewed evidence that your statement is true. There is no known full AI in existence. So, if your "friend" created one, they are undoubtedly the most significant scientific mind alive today.
Links please. With verifiable data.
Otherwise, stop making up lies.

Yea maybe in Usa FO 4 came out 2015, we in Europe get it Nov 2016, dont ask me why, but i still got the Bill with the Date on it.
Cause i said Usa, i am curous, if at all, if we also get in the next Years an Amusement Park, where we can Experience the Past, like good old West self.

It's clear that games such as Skyrim and Fallout have influenced the initial theme park setting of Westworld, even though there's an old film from before then. You have people offering quests and the NPCs go about their daily lives on repeat. I think some of the appeal of that show for us, at least when it came out, was the similarity. That a more realistic and immersive experience could be made using androids. Even musically there's a tone that reminds me of the Fallout games. I dunno about you guys but I feel less interested in the show as it deviates from it's original setting, but I loved it when it first came out. Finally something good on the TV.
I don't think it's fair to say Hollywood stole the idea exactly, but it was clearly a strong influence. The idea is an immersive open world adventure game but using androids.
Also what's this talk about a Fallout tv show in the works? Why haven't I heard about this?
