Is wort getting 32gb ram for this game?
Unmodded Ultra 1440p run fine and smooth, fps actual drops under 60 in the thick city but no stutter and fast loading.

Now I install the high-resolution texture pack and loading take forever and I get random 5 sec freeze sometimes.

I want try install high-resolution texture pack and put more visual mods over it, is 16gb enough or the game run better if I upgrade to 32gb?

Ram memory reach over 11gb and virtual memory reach like 19gb, this make me think 32gb could help a least with loading times.

My pc:

ryzen 2700+16gb 2666 dual channel+RTX 2070+sata ssd 960gb

16 GB of Ram is the sweet spot as others said. This has been tested on the workbench many times by many people. Including Jayz 2 Cents. He's run all the tests. 16 GB is all you need for gaming. Maybe editing or running a private server or something could need more. 16 GB Ram and a good reasonable high end video card and you should be good.

Nobody needs 32gb of ram. There's just nothing that uses all that memory. No game, no program, nothing. It's all graphics cards and processors these days. It's not like the tech is advancing anymore. Better graphics would require more effort to produce the assets, so our bottleneck is the amount of human work involved not the technology.

You don't even need 12gb, i have a 3060. And msi afterburner running with rivatuner. It never goes above 8192mb's. It does with other games like the newer ones. And no, it's not my enb files, i got those on 10240mb. And that also counts for normal ram, never goes beyond 8192mb.

Take a look on youtube videos using 32gb and showing ram usage, many games go over 16gb of ram.

If you have 16gb of RAM, you can safely disable Pagefile.
Been memory leak free since Windows XP (had the ram).

Get the achievement enabler on nexus. It allows you to mod the game to your content without worrying about deactivating achievements.

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15639/

There are several high quality texture mods on nexus. This is one I use.

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3747?tab=files&file_id=92748&nmm=1

There are several others. So you got to see which one works for you. I used another but in some areas textures weren't loading correctly.

There are some cool mods that you can get ingame menu etc.

Don't use the achievement enabler, just use Buffout 4 instead.

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/47359

It includes achievement re-enabling with mods, and besides that fixes problems with the game engine and adds a crash log.
