Best TARDIS mod
I'm looking for a fast traveling TARDIS.

The vanilla game you go about raiding collecting useful objects from people who needed killing and then haul it back to your settlement.
This settlement needs to be built up. If there are no settlers there originally, you need to build a settlement beacon and attract a settler for a supply line. Once you got a supply line you can start building.
Until then, the workshop is kinda useless because most settlements have almost nothing for materials.

Enter the TARDIS concept: a mobile settlement! This base camp goes to all the locations of the normal settlements and you can sleep, drink water, fix your power armor, upgrade your guns etc.

Requirements for the Ideal TARDIS
  • Time travel not needed. If I wanted to go kill Hitler, I'd see Dr. Brown at the Raider Emporium. So, ARDIS I guess.
  • All 5 of the workbenches.
  • decent lighting, not single point where there is such harsh contrast, that the shadows are totally dark (more of a want, really).
  • A workshop OR a recycle contraption required. Either way, a high enough ceiling for a recycle contraption. A large high ceiling empty area would be a plus!

So far I've tried:
TARDIS 0.2
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/18735
  • all workbenches +
  • Easy to use operator interface +
  • No workshop, no high ceilings, no contraptions. -
  • ugly as fugg lighting. if a companion stands in the right place, half the room goes dark -
  • TARDIS moving sound is too darn loud, Hurts my ears so I turn down the volume before hitting the move button -
  • No containers. I want to store the loot before making rounds at the merchants to sell it. -

The Classic TARDIS. Duskin Mods Edition
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22586
  • The alarm hurts my ears, and it's on all the time.
  • Lighting is much better.
  • Workbenches? I think they're there, somewhere.
  • I'm sure there's storage containers, but no way to mark them. I usually mark them "Keep", "Sell" and "Quest Items".
  • A door that opens to the void? What's that for? If you could build in there that would be epic but you can't. I mean, you can build but nothing snaps.
  • It's big, but there's nothing much in there that's useful.
  • Authentic Dr. Who operator interface. Do I look like a fuggin' Time Lord? I it works somewhat like TARDIS 2.0 but what do these other things do, other than set off the alarm again. Owww!! My ears!

PipBoy Storage Assitant

  • Not even a TARDIS. My goal is to have a mobile "settlement". The vanilla game is you set up a settlement, get settlers, and link it via supply lines. Kinda... boring. But being able to get into the cell at will, from anywhere, by just going into the pip boy storage is too easy as in "these Gunners are kicking my hinny I think I'll escape into Pipe Boy storage and drink water and get more guns and ammo".
  • You also can't bring your companion with you like with a TARDIS.
  • Has a workshop! You can build all the workbenches!
  • Ceiling is too low to build a fusion generator or contraption.

Actually, The alarm CAN be turned off. I have a youtube video somewhere of me doing exactly that with the update discussion. Maybe the script broke? Most people don't say anything about it. As for the workshop, I have a workshop as a "Keyboard panel" under the NAV terminal. Also shown in one of the very early update videos.

I can add a larger section of the TARDIS for a "Recycling" station

Okay. That really works! I'll go back to this version.

Oh pretty please! I've been trying to do that myself. I want a place where I can store stuff, scrap stuff, and put up a few posters and decorations. I can't do that with Tardis 0.2 as even with a workshop mod, things fall through the floor. I want some room for my own decorations.

The Cloud Storage mod does most of what you are looking for, in terms of eliminating logistics headaches, without completely removing the limitations of time and space from the game altogether.
