How to fix Triangle of Death crashing? SOLVED
I build a lot of settlements community in Triangle of Death: Sanctuary, Abernathy Farm and Red Rocket-now, whenever I enter Santuary(my home place )game crashes without any error on desktop.
I found out too late that is the biggest craching reason(not in Vanilla game) and and I'm in this mess.
Is there anything that can be fixed or I must start from zero. but I have 700h hard work and these were the best times for me

you gotta reload back an older save before it started crashing and play from there.

Try this. Start a new game then load your old save from within a new game.

I have read complaints about the so called, " Triangle of Doom. " Never had any issues there in over 3300+ hrs playing the with the exception of the original beds at Abernathy needing to be deleted and new ones built. Something to do with them not being considered "covered " and it can cause unknown reasons for happiness to drop.

Have never had a crashing issue however. I suspect other factors may be involved for those who have.

Don't switch in and out of build mode all the time real fast. This game was throttled down for consoles and crap PC's and it's easy to break on good systems when you play like you have a good system.

*shakes head.

Then how come my new system I bought this last Feb works great in Fallout 4? No issues at all when I am building in settlements.
There have been attempts but sadly none have prevailed like the cryofreeze frozen fresh spawned enemies.

It's a hardcode of the game and you'd have to remove it and replace it but could risk breaking other things in the process sadly.

First time my 700h experience, thatś mean something

Do not get me wrong. Not saying you are not having issues there. I am just pointing out not all have.

Are you trying to build massive settlements there and over stepping the in game build limit? Using Mods?

And what does this mean in relation to the cause of the issue with the topic of the thread?

Crashes only in Sanctuary, but not immediately, after some time(after 5-10min)- without any error on desktop. Somewhere else, no single crashes, everything works perfectly! I'm afraid now to enter Sanctuary

Using any building or settlement mods? And just how massive is your build there? Computer specs would be help too. Trying to build massive settlements using a weak computer, may cause issues. The build limits in settlements was put there for good reasons.

Can you provide a screen shot of your Sanctuary settlement? Would be interesting to see just how....massive it is.

And like I posted before, system specs.

Joker Face.......

Your computer is plenty strong enough to handle settlement building up to the in game build limits in them.

But Snactuary is a pretty large area to build on. I have had some fairly large buildings there, but I would say, I never went much beyond the surrounding buildings which are close to the one the Preston crew wants to improve and are constantly working on.

But if you are under the building limit indicator for there, you should be fine.

You could try removing some buildings there and see if that helps. I do have 16 Gig of system memory rather than 8 like you do. But that should not be the cause of your crashes. Unless you are having a memory issue.

Was going to say pretty much this. I have built very large settlements at all 3 locations on multiple playthroughs with no issues.

Concerning the OP. Your system specs look fine for Fallout 4. Do you have any issues with other games? When was the last time you updated your Nvidia drivers? One thing I would do for sure is get your RAM up to 16 as 8 is just cutting it close.

I think I have Red Rocket near Sanctuary in my second run, but I can still play and delete it. Completely unnecessary and kinda small. The Bridge is a good bottleneck for attackers coming from the south. You can try TCL walk to area and start editing.
Usually Mod Clashes cause CTDs, especially if not Bethesda Mods.

Crashing is only one possible result of the Triangle (and has been repoted for years, so some people not having crashed doesn't matter - even Bethesda's bugs are buggy). More common is just stuff not being loaded properly, causing the game to think there is a shortage of something (water, food, beds, power). That is caused by the size of the Sanctuary settlement itself (and Spectacle Island has this issue as well).

While I've never had it crash myself, I've also never built anything major in any of those 3 settlements. They are in a poor position to use as a base, being up in the corner of the map where nothing ever happens and is mostly wasted space.

Actually I do have the Power bug in Sanctuary, I presumed it was caused by going beyond height limitations (4 floors) with wiring and connections. It shows Power 650 in red and I am probably using ~200.

I have both the farm and sanctuary expanded and 300% build limit mod, have both built up large and high and with mods to increase population, only thing I do different is I 100% always delete red rocket and take the resources to help start up Sanctuary, as the Red Rocket location is terrible.
