how long dos the intro take

so i got fallout 4 and i wonder how long the intro takes like starting cutscene , playing with your son , entering vault , waking up from vault and getting out of

Also depends on how much you mess around. If you investigate everything in the house, do all optional interactions, etc; it'll be longer than if you go straight from plot trigger to plot trigger.

But if you're not into screwing around like that, why play an open-world/screw-around game?

Way, way too long.
All told, about twenty minutes. 10 or so if you rush it.
It doesn't add very much to the game as you don't interact with anything of any note and Sean being a baby doesn't help build any relationship with him either.
Perhaps if Sean had been eight or nine and you spent some time playing with him to establish a personal connection would have been better.
Vault 111 is just a boring slog.

Depends if you take everything in the Vault.

I suggest you create a "VAULT" save for future playthroughs which is a save done, just before exiting the vault where you can change your appearance and SPECIAL.

Shaun is a baby, then who's tricycle is in front of the house? It's almost as if they were going with Shaun as a young child and then the rewrote it, missing parts.

Your toddler can surely use a tricycle as long as your street has a slight incline.

My first save (at vault exit door) tells me it took 17 minutes to reach there

PS: didnt waste time on character creation screen, because this is my startup save. I start my games with this one. I change my character appearence, name and stats while exiting vault.

why is everyone in such a hurry?
the intro is meant to tell a story, set up your characters background... and thats pretty much it.

play it once for the story, make a male and a female save.

than start all your future saves from those two saves
