Dialogue language issue

So i've played Fallout 4 in German in the past and the dialogue was in german, but now when i changed lanuage to german (changed INI file in Mo2 due to me starting the game from there) and the text and stuff works, but dialougue is still in english. I should also mention that when i tried this but changing language through Steam instead, dialogue was silent and text was still in english, and i start with F4SE aswell.

you changed sLanguage= in mo2's fallout4.ini?

Try right clicking fallout 4 in steam > properties > language
That should download the audio files for German when you choose it i think

i'd try changing that setting in all the .ini files. might be overkill but worth a shot imho.

Also could just try verifying files in steam. Some mods also don't work unless you use english language so for some you will need a patch or might be unable to use the mod

I have tried verifying multiple times, but the issue is still present.

I seem to be missing a "Voices.ba2" file or i just can't find it. Any ideas?

Is it "Fallout4 - Voices.ba2"? Sounds like a main file. The verify should find and fix that. Also, see this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/3799284136646611718/

Oh nvm i found it, i diden't notice that it was called Fallout 4-voices.ba2

Okay, i did some testing on my own, and mods aren't the issue, its something that F4SE does. I tried launching the game both with and without mods on the standard Fallout 4 launcher (Fallout 4) and the voices are german. But with F4SE (wich alot of the mods im using requires) the dialogue is silent. Becaus i had the language set to english on steam but had "de" in the Mo2 INI the UI was working but not the dialogue. So my guess is that F4SE has issues reading the "Fallout 4 - Voices_de.ba2" or something. Does this information help?

try removing then reinstalling f4se.
did you run f4se without any mods enabled and see if it still happened?

Yes i ran F4SE without mods and voices where still missing, and sure il try reinstalling F4SE.

I've been creating a new game everytime.

Try this:

f4se_1_10_163.dll
f4se_loader.exe
f4se_steam_loader.dll
^GO IN FALLOUT4 folder manually^

Then you have to install the Scripts as a mod in MO2.
